Is it just me, or is the forums really quiet today? I mean, I'm doing some other stuff while having a tab with the forums open, and like every 5 minutes I click the new posts button, and usually not a single post has been made.
It's just... odd.

I remember my first week of snowboarding... Your knees and butt will hurt a lot. And the back of your head, if you don't wear a helmet.
I began wearing a helmet after taking a pretty hard hit to my head. Was all dizzy for 10 minutes or something.
Probably better to wear a helmet from the beginning.

Give yourself an incentive, such as, getting yourself something you want or doing something you've been putting off doing but would be enjoyable.

It's all in the ankles. If you have to stop, stop by lifting your feet up. Also, best piece of advice I was ever given - if you only lean where there's a bit of board, you're guaranteed never to fall off. I haven't fallen off in months. Glad to see you've joined the dark side. I was never one for skiing.

I wait until some seemingly minor thing happens to me then let it spiral into fiction until I've got a song.

I've never skied either. For some crazy reason, my family prefer to drag me to hot places instead of freezing their [&@%!] off at ski resorts and/or similar destinations. But snowboarding is way cooler. Plus I've got a tiny little bit of experience from skateboarding, even though I haven't touched a board in months.

Speaking of skateboarding, I wish summer would come quicker. I miss taking out the board and just going around, doing the occasional ollie, and losing control, and falling on your face, and scraping your palms, and... Uh, okay, it has its downs. It's still fun, though.

I've been hoping to snowboard for a while, but always end up skiing instead. Has to do with the fact that I usually go with people that lend me their skis. Skiing is a lot more fun that it seems at first, though.

I failed at skateboarding. In the end I just gave up, as I wasn't any good at. it, and didn't really enjoy it.
