Forget spells. Spells suck.
Enchants
Potions.
Restore Health 15 on self, duration: constant effect. Or fortify strength 2000 for a week. Try to beat that with a custom spell

There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

Restore Health with an enchant. Grand Soul, Exquisite Ring, Constant Effect enchantment.
Fortify - with a potion. Potion strength is determined by intelligence. Create potion of fortify intelligence, drink it, create stronger, drink again, create, drink. You'll quickly get into thousands range. Note new problems appear then. Strength: One hit, one kill, one sword down, to be replaced with a new one. Carry lots of swords. Speed: Above 400 the game becomes nearly impossible, you can't aim at any door. Endurance: Neglect the fact that you lost 2000HP (barely a scratch) in some massive fall or such, the potion expires and you die. Levitate - wait a week till you can enter/exit Ald Rhuhn mages guild main chamber (without using the guild guide) because you MUST walk down these stairs to get through, otherwise you don't fit.
Besides, the game becomes too easy

So just don't make fortify intelligence potions. Don't CE-restore-health more than 1 point. And don't complete a CE set of chameleon armour. And you'll be fine with the game difficulty

Sure, still vulnerable to normal weapons... not bad
Besides, if you try to play as a werewolf (from Bloodmoon), your life becomes REALLY hard.

Werewolf? Werewolf can't access the inventory, can't wear anything, can't cast spells and must depend on stats and powers of werewolf, often quite a bit lower than normal. And must feed. Life of a werewolf is hard.PTemplar wrote:And may I ask, why is that?
Enchant skill is of little use. First, it increases chance of successfully enchanting an item by yourself. But the chance is always small and you need to fortify INT a lot (2000?) to be able to create constant effect enchanted items. Normally - petty, common souls etc are 50% success chance. Second (more useful) reduces cost of use of enchanted item. Item you could use 3 times with enchant skill 5 you can use about 12 times with enchant skill 100. Third, items recharge by themselves faster.
Generally you ignore the skill and use enchanter services to create items. For CE items it's helluva expensive but still pays, considering the outcome. In Oblivion when you have 300.000 gold, there's nothing, nowhere ever in the whole game where you could spend it. In Morrowind that's two constant-enchanted items.
