I want secret places!
Not "Hollow tree trunk" or "Secret-passageway-that-you-have-to-go-through-in-a-quest" kind of secret. I mean actual secret, unmarked places like caves with entrances deep underwater, in almost-inaccessible areas of the sides of mountains, and secret chambers, etc. I loved finding the secret corridors in Anvil Castle before that one quest required me to find them.
And more alternative "routes" inside cities...i don't want my thief to walk on the streets of some city or town while escaping, when he should be hopping from rooftop to rooftop.

Yes more things that will make exploring more fun! I like the hidden rooms in the castles in Oblivion, but when I look at it they all look the same. Everything in Oblivion looks the same if I think about it..Sherrid wrote:Me too! Exploring is my favorite thing to do.JJSmart wrote:I want secret places!

Skingrad castle was also pretty cool. But you shouldn't worry about the dungeons being identical in Skyrim - they've got MANY more people working on the dungeons alone.mulder wrote:Yes more things that will make exploring more fun! I want an obsticle corse where you are timed and you have to run on bridges and jump from bridge to bridge avoiding traps or something.
Maybe there would be a part where you have to sneak around a room of patroling gaurds as well.

An Estate-When you first start the game you are given a small rundown house, through questing and buying upgrades you can make it into a large manor that displays quest rewards and can give you gold bonouses from your farmers collecting crops.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
I did always like the updating bits of games, like in Assassin's Creed II/Brotherhood, Morrowind's Raven Rock settlement, and the like. I don't care if it's a settlement, a house for you, or whatever, but I hope there's at least something like that. Nothing wrong with a random bit of RTS in an RPG game.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
It's just that in AC, you'd get way too much money and it really didn't feel like there was a purpose, since you didn't spend much time there anyway. In TES however, you might spend a lot of time in your house since you might want to decorate it with your artifacts and what not. And I really hope they get the economy balance bit done this time.Cactus wrote:I did always like the updating bits of games, like in Assassin's Creed II/Brotherhood, Morrowind's Raven Rock settlement, and the like. Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
I completely agree. The Raven Rock settlement was one of my favorite parts of Morrowind simply because that updating nature made it feel more real. I loved it and would love to see more of that in Skyrim.Cactus wrote:I did always like the updating bits of games, like in Assassin's Creed II/Brotherhood, Morrowind's Raven Rock settlement, and the like. If I knew ahead of time where and when I would need to physically defend myself or others, I would simply avoid that time and place...but I don't...hence CPL...

I don't see how that's possible unless they force some kind of service on you that you'll have to pay for the entire game. Fact is, eventually you'll buy everything you want or need and all money after that is just.. more money.SwedishBerzerker wrote:And I really hope they get the economy balance bit done this time.
That, quite simply. It's practically pop culture amongst fans, so they better have at least one guard say it.mars wrote:Stop right there criminal scum!
Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
There are quite a few economy mods for Oblivion that add a bit of spice to trading. Not game-changing but it's nice to see that not everything is worth the same in all corners of the map.Cactus wrote:I don't see how that's possible unless they force some kind of service on you that you'll have to pay for the entire game. Not necessarily guards! Farmers could come running with pitchforks at you if you steal their crops, yelling "Stop right there, criminal scum!"Cactus wrote:That, quite simply. Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
I want better mounts.
Rather than a horse which can run, jump and swim, I want mor eimmersive and wonderous Mounts.
Not necissarily huge Dragons, but say for instance:
-Armoured/Saddled Bear
-Trained Durzogs (Unsure if their habitat could include Skyrim, though 200 years have passed)
-A Trained/Armoured Grahl would suit Skyrim
-Horkers could be found in Skyrim, and used as water transport, although their size may have to be altered
-Sabertooth Tiger would be great
Also I'd like to be able fire arrows/swing swords while on a mount.

I want the hair to be affected by wind and the sort. I want it to blow around. Not majorly, but like it did in Neverwinter Nights 1. Not stand still went I'm being mauled to death by trolls.
And speaking of wind, I want the rain to bounce off roofs, or make puddles in the streets. Not seemingly fall through everything.
I also want to climb, not have to have an extremely high acrobatics skill in order to get to a nice vantage point.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
The hair thing would be nice. I really didn't care about the rain-I guess I didn't really notice it much. But I love the idea of climbing. I would love to be able to climb a steep cliff or, better yet, a house wall and run across roofs to scope out an area. One of the best things in SI was getting to run about the roof tops. The small roof related quests and little found treasures were sweet as well. Most were things you might find on a rooftop that people feel is safe to hide things on. Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
Keep in mind that they can't do everything. While footsteps and clothes getting dirty and your hair getting messed up or you getting wet or water bouncing off roofs would look cool, it's not really needed and ultimately adds nothing to the game and is simply going to make the game harder to run on any system, and take away from more important things like story and character. I hope the game is beautiful and realistic, but not so much that it's a beautiful shell with no depth.

well didn't I hear that snowfall is going to be dynamic, as in it falls realistically? This should add with the implementation of footprints.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
Well yes, I only mean that I don't think we should wish for everything we've seen in other games. My only real hope is that rain doesn't go through the [&@%!] roof when you're on a porch or underneath an overhang or something. Looking up at the roof and seeing water fall anyway is just grossly irritating. I can live without footprints or whatever, but don't let the rain magic through objects.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
I know that most of this stuff would be too cumberson to do... now. What I think these "wishlist" lists real uses are is that it is what people think would be fun. That these "what if's " are fun and can spark the creativity of others who are devoted to creating games/mods. That intrest can, should, and often is used to direct the future depths of gaming. To me a wish list is just something to play "what if" with, but I have never been disappointed in my Bethesda games and look forward to Skyrim with baited breath "as is".Cactus wrote:Keep in mind that they can't do everything. Re: The Elder Scrolls V Wishlist Thread
Ah. Well, for me the same, but some people get their expectations really high and then get disappointed when the game isn't what they had in mind. Personally I don't try to imagine the game at all.

Then hunting in the game would be more.. dynamic in the fact of you stalk your pray. Also it could help you avoid creatures when your not planning to fight them.scribbane wrote:well didn't I hear that snowfall is going to be dynamic, as in it falls realistically?
