What a weird thread.

I have family and relationships, sometimes relationships with my family. These are both family and relationship happenings and are mostly happenings that occur in relationships with my family.

I also play TES.

My family seem to be slowly dying out, as I'm soon to be down to one grandparent, instead of three because one died before I was even born, and my uncle is having problems as well... The rest of the family's fine though, and I'm pleased to get on well with them all despite them, very much like me, being individual and somewhat unorthodox characters.

Relationships? I've only had one that I could truly count as a relationship; it lasted 8 months and 2 weeks and it was absolute ecstacy. The problem was that we were never friends, we were strangers, or lovers, there was never any place in between. It was always wierd, and slightly uncomfortable, but we found ways around it. It became more strained towards the end, with her becoming increasingly interested in one of my friends, and me distancing myself from her slightly before Welbeck, to see how she'd cope.... she didn't. When I told her, she said we should split up, firstly because it would be hard on her, but secondly because it would tangle me up and she wanted me to be happy there. I'd never heard her cry until then.... I still regret it, and think about her, but tell myself that's digging an old grave and should move on.

....reading that back it sounds like I should've started with "Dear Agony Aunt"...
"Go to hell, Carolina!"

Hmm...I suppose I me and my girlfriend had a hard time today. I used to be the one looking for attention from her and never getting it...I said nothing. Now it's the other way around and she says lots of stuff...

Scozzar wrote:So I'll get straight to the point here.

I used to date a girl who I was truly in love with. Unfortunately we broke up after 5 months of dating. We broke up on a Sunday, the following day, she was absolutely fine. I asked her how she was and she good me that she had already gotten over us. I was still sad at the time but it made me even sadder when she told me she got over that quickly. it wasnt even a full day after, and she acted like everything was normal. That night I texted her to see how she was doing and it was the same response. The next day she was hanging out with a guy who I had never seen before (it was just a bunch of Facebook pics). Well anyway that night again I asked her how she was and she told me fine. I didn't mention this guy or what not. Well eventually the sadness I got by seeing how quickly she was fine after we broke up turned into seething rage against her. This started on the third night. I didn't text her on purpose to see if shed text me like she usually would do. Nope it never happened. To this day she hadn't made any contact to me, and that's not what we agreed on. So with her never making contact with me, it made me realize how empty our relationship was. I was the only one who cared about it. To her, I was just a friend. Nothing more or nothing less. When we broke up, she was fine within hours. The next day, she told me that it wasn't a big deal that we broke up. That was the fuse. Two days later she acted like nothing ever happened and started hanging out with this new guy. The amount of time it took for her to rebound made me feel absolutely worthless to her. This made me think that that's how I was to her the relationship before we broke up....worthless. There's more to the story but I'm doing this off my phone so bear with me here.
So this set me off. My grief turned into rage.....blinding, seething rage. I removed everything that reminded me of her because if I did see something, it would remind me of the hollow, blighted relationship I was put into. I removed everything from my room, deleted her off my phone, unfriend on Facebook, untagged all my photos etc. In other words, I did not want to be affiliated with her, at all, ever again. I wanted to forget here and leave her in the past where she belongs. There's more, but I'll explain later.

So ANYWAY, I feel like I'm ready to start dating again. But my rage and hate for my ex is getting in the way. I have met two people who I found very attractive. One of them flaked out on me and the other might be doing the same. I really want to date someone who will care for me. In my first relationship, I was always the one trying to talk to my girlfriend, always the one to comfort and support. After being thrown away like trash, I cant do another relationship where I'm doing all the work. When I meet these very nice, attractive women, they talk to me without thinking I'm a creep. Here's the kicker, after talking to me, I usually them my number and just say text me or call me. Nothing out of the sort. Soon afterwards, we start having long conversations with each other. We get to know each other better, which is something I really enjoy doing. But when I get bored of texting or calling, I usually ask if we could yang out. They say sure that sounds fun etc. but nothing ever happens. I REALLY want to date someone that I like but everytime I ask them out on a date, there's always something there or they usually flake out. Now there's a correlation between my first story and this one here. I'll explain tomorrow. Please feel free to add any input :)
The first story is pretty sad, I'm sorry. But now that there's more people for you it's happy? Eheheheh. I kind of have a story like that, so here it is:

Last July I broke up with my girlfriend at the time, who I believe I loved as well. Almost seven months, but I never saw what she had really done to me. It was a long distance relationship, so it was based a lot around talking on the phone or using the Internet. She was overly jealous, controlling, paranoid, and cruel. If I was even friends with another woman she'd try to make me lose contact with her, but she would go off with her male friends who she had previously dated for hours. I wasn't allowed to do much, and she even got sad when I left for a band concert or to a practice. She thought that everyone was out to get me as much as I said that no one was, because they weren't. She would yell, scream, threaten, and guilt me into doing things. So in short, she was emotionally and mentally abusing me. But I couldn't end it. I met some new people and eventually got myself to end things with her. And just like with you Scozzar, she was over it and with another guy quickly. The only upside is that I scalped the stuffed bear she got me.

And now I have a new girlfriend, with the best part being that she's a huge ES fan.

My older brother is getting married!

I think I might be more estatic then he and the sister-in-law-to-be, hah. My brother is 14 years older than I am and we had never imagined he would ever get married, so this is joyous news. Er, saying that makes it sound bad, I suppose. It's not as if there's anything wrong with not getting married, and I would have loved him all the same if he didn't, but I suppose I'm pleased because I really like his fiancée and, after decades with only brothers around, she's a nice breath of fresh air; and they have been dating for several years, so this is sort of the conclusion we all expected to happen. I guess that says a lot about societal pressures and norms, but that's another thread for another day.

Anyhow, celebrations are to be had in the Avron household! I can't wait. Family news is always exciting. :)

My girlfriend almost broke up with me due to her depression. Took over 4 hours for me to convince her that she wouldn't bring me down and that me leaving was the worst idea. It was the most I've cried in a long time. When I saw her today we had one conversation and the rest was me digging my nails into my palms. How fun.

Well, my life is complicated right now.
My parents are fighting, I'm confused about if it's my fault or not. School is getting really confusing :? My physics teacher expects us to know stuff that we don't. I have two English essays that were due about two weeks ago. In my computing class, I have to sit next to two (censored) that think they know everything about computers, but can't even find the freakin' power button! As I'm a Corporal in my local ATC (Air Training Corps.) I'm in charge of about 10 cadets that don't listen to me, don't do what their told, and are just generally disrespectful to us NCOs and the Officers. And to top it all off, I've been in love with the girl for about two years, but I've never told her how I fell, because well, I'm not the kind of guy that she usually dates... I'm a computer nerd by the way, so I don't have a social life.

So yeah, I'm going through hell right now.
And it [&@%!] me off! :x

P.S. To those people that are going to be deployed for overseas, good luck!

One of my close friends (who is two years older then me) is being shipped out overseas to Northern Iraq. He's a communication technician, so hopefully he won't be in the center of any firefights. (And right when I first got him to play Morrowind. ><) His name is Brandon, and he is my computer nerd buddy! :)
