Essentially, games you may never play, and games you missed out on.

As a past gaming regret, not playing Zelda on the N64 or Gamecube is high on my list. But right now, The Last Guardian is the game I'll be swooning over - from a distance. That teaser/trailer makes me want to sell my kidneys for a PS3 and a copy of the game when it launches.

I also missed out on Ico and Shadow of The Colossus..

So, which games make you curse your current lack of funds (or maybe just shelf space)?

I really want a Gamecube so I can play Cubivore again,
I also want a PS1(preferable a PS3 slim) so I can play Legend of Mana, Misadventures of Tron Bon, Monster Rancher and Grafitti Kingdom!

I miss all of those games dearly.

As a loyal Playstation person, I'd say I've missed out on quite a few notable games because of exclusivity, but the ones that come to mind immediately are:

Forza Motorsport 3 and entire Forza series (Xbox, Xbox 360)
I've been a dedicated fan of Gran Turismo since the very first one and have always been satisfied. However, with the coming of GT5 and the obvious faults it has, I've become very interested in trying the Forza series, which gets quite a lot of praise. Unfortunately, it's Xbox exclusive.

Epic Mickey (Wii)
As soon as I heard about this, I really wanted to try it. Yes, I am a bit deterred now that the reviews have severely criticized several aspects of the game, but I still really want to play it one day. I'm a Mickey fan after all! (This has kindled in me a desire to play Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, which, thank goodness, I can play! My sister owns them both.)

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Gamecube)
I love the Metal Gear series, at least the ones I've played, which are 1, 2 and 3. I'm a firm believer that the third's gameplay is flawless, so it's always difficult to go back and play the first one on PS1, which has radically different controls and gameplay. The Twin Snakes is a Gamecube-only game which has the same exact story as the first MGS, but with the gameplay, controls and graphics of the second, which are very close to that of the third. Unfortunately, I don't own a Gamecube.

Resident Evil 4 (Wii)
OK, I actually have tried this, but it was only because my sister's ex-boyfriend lent us his Wii for a bit. I've played RE4 on PS2 a lot, and I still regard it highly, but the Wii version is ten times as fun. Aiming with the Wiimote (is that what it's called?) is so much easier and more amusing. Coupled with the fact that it's an exact port of the rest of the game, this becomes a great game that I love, but better! At first, I wanted to buy a Wii just to play this, but after I calmed down, I remembered that I'm really cheap.

There's a whole bunch of PC games I would love to try. Unfortunately, my machine is rubbish and it will take many years before I get a decent one, so I have to deprive myself of great PC games, a list too long to write or remember.

I would get a PS3 for Little Big Planet, but that's it for the PS3. Also a better PC for Crisis, despite the fact that I have a PC. (But it's crap)

I want a SNES for Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

And yes, I know that all three of the games have since been ported to other consoles.

I always wanted to have a Dreamcast and a Gamecube....

I wish I had my copy of Castlevania SOTN for the PS1 as well. A friend "stole" it. I know that you can download from LIVE but my X360 isn't the Slim model (with the slim we can connect to LIVE without any problems with wires in general as far as I know)...

Always wanted the Parasite Eve games but I never found a copy of the damn thing. Same for Dino Crisis...

I want a PS3 just because of 3 games: Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain and Demon's Souls.

And I want a Wii as well. It's library is awesome imo. (I'll buy a Wii this year, maybe).

I want a PS3(that has backwards capability[seriously Sony,what the hell were you thinking?]) so that I could play all the MGSs(I had a PS2 and managed to play the first 3),Jak 2 and Gran Turismo. Every other PS exclusive does not appeal(MGS isn't exclusive to PS anymore though).

I want a PC to see what's the big deal with Crysis. Is it a genuine FPS? Has it a good storyline? Or is it just a load of physics and graphics slapped on to horrible gameplay? I've heard both good reviews and bad.

I want a Wii(wait,I have a Wii,but never plug it in).

becuase, even though ps3 has been out for a good while, most people have more ps2 games then ps3, if your forced to buy new games for your new system and all the old games are useless for it, there has to be some gain in revenue there

personally, i play more xbox 1 games on my 360 and own more xbox 1 games then i do 360 games, and when i had ps3, i had a million ps2 games that i still played

evenratman: yeah, Resi 4 has such a good reputation, and - not being a big Resi fan - I like the idea of a more action oriented take on the series. But unless it re-relaunches on 360, I'll never play it (I heard the PC version was fairly terribly handled).

Back on the Sony front; having played MGS1 and 2, MGS3 and 4 are givens. Also the first Parasite Eve. I have no idea if it was ever a good game, but there was a certain mystique about it, being a post-FFVII Sqaure release with an interesting lead character.

GT5's been mentioned a lot, but Forza 3 does a good job of fulfilling my automotive sim needs. I'd appreciate GT's uber-hardcore-ness, but it's not something I'd buy a new platform for. Unlike The Last Guardian; if it gets anywhere near close to the majesty and charm of its teasers, then eventually getting a PS3 is a definite. When I have £220 to spare, that is..

Yeah, I tried it. The worst thing is probably the fact that we have to aim with the keyboard directional keys; aiming with the mouse is not supported. Pretty weird, huh? It just feels like a really sloppy port.

Oh and I agree that a PS3 is not worth it just to play GT5. Even the non-fanboy GT fans who've had the opportunity to play both acknowledge Forza 3's superiority over GT5 in many aspects, and I don't doubt them. But on the whole, I'd say the two series are fairly equal; Xbox people have their race sim, PS people have theirs, and they both deliver very well (keeping in mind that I've never actually played any Forza ).

I sometimes wish i got a PS3 rather than an X-box 360. Would must rather be able to play the Resistance games and the Armoured Core saga than halo. Don't care much for Killzone, but never played it either, looks good though.

Yep halo, one of the only games limited to x-box 360 that is passable. (that i know of). and i don't even like the series.
I would almost sell my console and buy a Ps3 for those reasons.

But then i remember that i wouldn't be able to play Morrowind...wait...lol wtf am i on. I'm going to look up x-box exclusive games. If i don't find alot of good ones. I'm making the switch...eventually O_o being broke sucks. xD

But I think that's really the only thing I love my 360 for, atm.
I have a PS3, but I haven't seen it for months since my brother's locked it away in his room.
I might steal it and get GT5- 4 was one of my favourite PS2 games that wasn't a RPG. I've said 'might' so many times before, though.
Plus I wanna play R&C: Tools of Destruction.
