Do you think some weapons will have perks when wielded together. E.g. you have a sword and dagger from the same set that each individually deals 4 fire damage but if you dual wield them this increases to 12 fire damage. (It doesn't have to happen exactly like this its just to illustrate my point).

Thats a good idea, I'm sure there will be dual-wield related perks.River wrote:Do you think some weapons will have perks when wielded together. There could be one where if you weild the same thing in both hands you do extra damage.

I hope duel-wielding daggers looks something like Dark Messiah's dagger combat. If you dont know what im talking about:

its probably just me but an avid fan of morrowind (preferring it over oblivion) but I don't like the idea of dual weapons. i always enjoyed a slower combat pace, but mehhh whatever.

Re: Which dual-wield option would you want to play the most?
Dual Weapons wouldn't necessarily be faster. In almost every game I've played that featured dual-wielding (with the exception of games where DW was a unique trait to certain characters) there was a penalty incurred while dual wielding that balanced it out. The most common being a reduced chance to hit, and the offhand weapon does less damage than it normally would.

Re: Which dual-wield option would you want to play the most?
If you can use hand-to-hand with your off hand then I would say axe/fist. I think running up to a troll and delivering a vicious left hook followed by an over the top chop would be satisfying. If not, then probably an axe/mace combo.

Hand-to-hand. I will break Alduin with my fists. Unless someone remakes the 'Chuck Norris' mod... in which case he's getting round-housed. I must round-house this dragon.

that last comment reminded me of the old "Chuck Norris in oblivion" youtube videos. Ah, the memories...

I'm gonna use weapon/weapon at first, simply because it's new. If it makes blocking hard, I'll switch back to the traditional shield/weapon combo. I'll also probably have spells hot-keyed.

Re: Which dual-wield option would you want to play the most?
With all of this dual weapon fighting talk, that brings up another question. Are there going to be dominate hands that give strength boosts and weaker hands that lower attack for the weapons your using with them? Will your strength determine how much a weapon in your weak hand can weigh? Will you have to use smaller weapons in your weaker hand or did Bethsda decide to keep domonate hands out of he games because it would simply complicate things more? Please post your ideas!!

Re: Which dual-wield option would you want to play the most?
I was wondering if you could be empty handed in one hand?
Like for example you hit one goblin with your mace and kill it, as a next one approaches you punch it really fast, staggering the creature, giving you enough time to finish him with a final blow.

A fireball in each hand is the only way to go for me. Whenever I imagine dual-wielding spells, I picture old school Dragonball Z rapid fire energy blasting. That would be one of the greatest feelings in the world if I could do that in Skyrim.

Only if they move faster than they did in ESIV- Imagine Dragonball Z but the energy balls moved as slow as fireballs in Oblivion. lolMrPuddings wrote:A fireball in each hand is the only way to go for me. I'm still thinking axe/axe, but if there's flails then I'll probably dual them instead.

That's true. It wouldn't be as impressive if they went at Oblivion's speed, but I'll take what I can get.The Dog Whisperer wrote:Only if they move faster than they did in ESIV- Imagine Dragonball Z but the energy balls moved as slow as fireballs in Oblivion. lolMrPuddings wrote:A fireball in each hand is the only way to go for me. an enchanted shield which defends against blows and causes fire damage on striking the enemy would be pretty good for you, Red Guardian?
