Edit: By the way the phrase "superhuman power-leveled abomination" is solely of comical nature. Just thought I'd state that in order to avoid arguments.
How will the factions work?

How will the factions work?
Factions! I shall speak swiftly as I've important matters to attend to (washing the dishes ^.^). Factions are an important part of TES and there's no doubt they will return in Skyrim (I don't doubt it at least). But here is the big question. Will they be as shallow as Oblivions guilds? Or will Bethesda take a neccesery step forth into the past and make Morrowind Philosophy factions? What I mean is obviously requirements. For the sake of role-playing I never joinedthe mages guild with my magic frowning warrior or the thieve's guild with my Honorable Arch-Mage. But it was possible :/. And so I ask thee the peoples of the forums! DO WE WANT THIS?!

he can type in any color he wants. But, what he should stop is to create duplicate topics as he has a few..Blackfire wrote:STOP TYPING IN RED >:|

Re: Factions
Yeah, yeah sorry but I wanted to make a poll. Is that good enough or will I get another thread locked? And it's not duplicated. That thread asks what factions to be included while I am asking how those factions should work.mulder wrote:he can type in any color he wants. Re: Factions
this is asking something rather different than the other thread i think. o.o
and as i hinted at in the other thread, i feel that morrowind did a better job with Factions. Oblivion's felt shallow. You could be everything with hardly any good reason. even a pure-warrior orc with no magick skills could become archmage. there was no consequence between factions. they were tragically unlinked. at least in morrowind you had to fit the criteria of the faction, fit in as it were. and you had to be like-minded.
it would be nice to feel like my faction actually matters beyond adding an extra couple hours onto my play time. to feel that i made a real decision to commit to it. and it doesnt at all kill the casual's day to decide between factions. if anything it should motivate them to play more because "oh i wonder what would happen if i'd joined these other guys instead?".

Re: Factions
Perhaps you should change the title to better reflect the thread.
Because it could be confusing.
