it's apples and oranges. You'll probably get more playtime out of Morrowind, if you can stand it's dated graphics, simplistic combat system, and lack of fast travel. It's got a lot of fun quests, stories, and just overall awesome fun though.

I'd probably go with Bioshock though. It's out for the 360 and PC right now, and it's probably going to be game of the year. Halo 3's just around the corner too.

Wow so Bioshock is actually out right now? I thought it wouldn't be out for a while! I've tried playing Morrowind after playing Oblivion, but I just can't do it! I recommend Shivering Isles, if you've already played Oblivion.

I would recommend Morrowind, because it's better than Oblivion. In my opinion, anyway. But then, I've played Morrowind before Oblivion.

I agree with Butterknife, though. You can't compare an expansion with a full game.

If you wanna keep playing Oblivion, buy Shivering Isles. If you wanna try something new, buy Morrowind - preferably with its expansions Tribunal and Bloodmoon.

Get Morrowind. I've gotten a lot more playing hours out of it than Oblivion, and there's more quests and sub-plots and such. The graphics are better than expected for the age of the game, and the travel system isn't a click and *poof* you're there system, you have to take a vehicle of sorts such as the boats or silt strider, or teleport from Mages' Guild to Mages' Guild. There's also more towns to explore.

The fighting system and animations is fairly simplistic, but the magic is a lot more detailled.

Getting SI, you will get more Oblivion, a little more colorful perhaps, and definitely worth the play, but if you can only afford one, go for Morrowind.
