The article also describes Alduin's ability to create, in addition to his ability to destroy. Being the Nord version of Akatosh, it's possible that Alduin appears whenever the world has slipped to an irreparable point, cleanses it and recreates it anew. Looking at the signs of the prophecy, I would say that those events occurring would be a fair sign of things going poorly.

Lol. It would be so much easier to believe you if you said this in September or October 2011. The game doesn't come out until 11.11.11. Can you actually wait that long without checking online for new information? I know I can't. But don't worry, all thats being revealed is the main plot points. Its like watching a movie trailer. Most of the main plot points are there, but all of the intricate details, thrills, and surprises are kept hidden for the player to discover them while playing.
Oh, I know I can't, but I'm at least going to try to most spoilerific previews. I ran into one for ME2 that had the entire plot of the game, including the most interesting sidequests. Then stupid me found the same thing for Dragon Age! Sometimes developers just blab too much about the game before it comes out. Of course, I hate most modern movie trailers for that same exactly reason, they leave very little reason to see the actual film.
