You mean the requirements of the photo or actually getting your picture taken?

I did as well, but when you live in a part of Brighton where you are told you must not use a car, ever, or you're evil but they haven't thought to provide a half-decent bus service to replace it, that adds to the fun a bit. As does an Indian family who were so bemused by the whole experience I thought that they might have just come out of a shed where they've spent the last 30 years trying to figure out how a safety pin works, as does a man who had to re-take his photo about 20 times before he was happy with it. And they're not even for my passport anyway, they're for my forklift truck license which I will either never use again or lose anyway.

That is so awesome.

The requirements are what kept annoying me- They rejected my photo once because I was grinning and another time because the lighting was bad. (Which is hardly fair, there aren't lighting controls on those things)
I think I'm finally okay, because instead of a snappy response of "No." I haven't heard anything.
Should have a passport in 3-4 months, then.

You need a special license to operate a forklift in the UK?

Today, my dad and I tried installing a security system, only to find that it's actually an insecurity system, designed to make you feel safe, but fail when there's an actual robbery.

Also, it was made in China. That doesn't surprise me. Their website was covered from top to bottom in ads about buying their stuff.

Got my school session schedule. Not bad at all and some of my fears have been stopped. And I have Wednesday off :| Hopefully it will work as a day to do homework and all instead of a mini-weekend.

I accidentally set mine off when coming back from a run. That thing is loud as hell.

Did you guys do a 'test run?' By that I mean after you installed it, mimic robbing your house and trying to trigger the alarm. Mine has window/door sensors and one motion sensor down the hallway.

Today I discovered that if you eat three big portions of potato cakes with lingonberry jam in quick succession, you get stoned. I kept laughing at random things during Swedish class.

I've been learning how to drive a forklift truck today and have the following observations:

1) Rear-wheel steering is very hard to get used to.

2) The handbrake seems to have come out of a Victorian signal box.

3) The throttle in most vehicles either operates a valve that regulates the inflow of petrol into the carburettor, or triggers an electronic impulse that does much the same thing. In a forklift, however, it telegraphs a message down to the engine room, instructing a man in a boiler suit to shovel some more coal into the furnace, which eventually makes the thing move.

After a turn forthe worse today, I've taken out my anger on various instruments, playing the crap out of my guitars, harmonica and piano with equal measure. I don't know how I managed to muster up the mental clarity to work out the intro to Everything In It's Right Place with such a horribly out of tune piano, but there you have it. Music conquers all.

We tried it several times. Neither of the motion sensors worked. The door/window sensors worked, but we were having reception issues with them. And when we tried intentionally setting off the alarm to test the console's dialing out, the message was really garbled and started playing as soon as the phone started ringing. Not when my dad answered it, when it started ringing.

But when the alarm was set off, it was (according to the instructions) 95 dB.

I played a little but of Oblivion. I figured I would start a character, do the main quest, then the Shivering Isles main quest, both of which I only finished once, and then maybe the Fighter's Guild quest, which I've started, but never completed.

I was going to finish a project (Which is do tomorrow) but I'm just going to turn in what I have. I honestly have no interest in the class, and it's not like one unfinished project will hurt my grade, since it's pretty much dead (I have like, a C or a D in that class). I was also going to study, but I'm lazy.

Further more-

Got a callback for an interview this Friday!

It's for some unspecified position in the Cayman Isles. Not sure what the job responsibilities are, but the guy who phoned me introduced himself as Big Tony and asked if I had a pilot's license and knew how "deal with people who ask too many questions".

Wish me luck!

Remember to engage Carburetor Heat only when icing conditions are suspected— otherwise you'll suffer a power loss since the charge density is lower. Don't be afraid if the engine stutters when Carb Heat is first engaged— that only means ice is being passed out of the engine.

For the other matter, 151 in the pina colada and a dagger behind the collarbone.
