Continuing the line
I'm sure most of us (if not all) who played Morrowind before Oblivion was released, continued on their main character through to Oblivion. I did, and am quite attached with my split-personality Madgod/Treasure Hunter Argonian in Oblivion. I'm sure there'd be plenty for him to plunder in the frozen catacombs of Skyrim.
For the purposes of Role-playing or simply because you're attached to your character that has, lets say ~200 hours of game time, are you going to continue your main/favourite character into Skyrim?

Re: Continuing the line
It really depends for me. If they look like hardened, viking-style people in Skyrim, I would love to make a Nord. Long, messy hair with a couple of thin braids, a huge beard, I'd love it. Short of that, I will probably continue with my character, yeah.

Ever since I got my hands on Oblivion (I got Oblivion, then Morrowind), I've been
favouring the Khajiit. How they re-vamp the characters will be the deciding factor
between my cat's Long Bow and fisticuffs or a Nord's heavy armour and ungodly

Re: Continuing the line
Considering that all of my characters have been three basic characters (dark elf assassin, high elf battlemage, nord berserker) I'll probably keep the concept for them (dark elf first, then nord, then high elf) but give them different names and stuff like that.
Re: Continuing the line
I'm going to make my necromancer again. But I'm going to do the main quest and a few guilds before I mod it all up.

Re: Continuing the line
I was going to, until I found out that it was in Skyrim. I think it'd be much more fun to play as some Nord guy, rather than my usual Bosmer assassin.
I might, it depends on how much the appearance of characters have changed. If the Nords look cool and not out there like a lot of them did in Oblivion, then I'll play Nord. If the wood elves don't look like kids, and they aren't altogether annoying, then I'll play Bosmer.

Re: Continuing the line
my first character probably will be a dark elf, when I first played morrowind I was shocked by how cool they are, but messed the char because it was a barbarian(dark elf barbarian sounds really bad right?) I will see how the game will handle the skill system and then choose wich class it will be

Played a Nord in Morrowind... Played a Nord in Oblivion... it only makes sense I'll continue.

Re: Continuing the line
I'm torn. Reasons why:
#1- I've played as an Imperial when I first got Oblivion, and I always liked them.
#2- I also like the Argonians because they can breathe underwater.
#3- If I play as a Nord, then that would give me a sense that I'm running around my homeland rather than a "visitor".
I have no idea what to choose.

It's what I thought about playing a Dunmer in Morrowind. Turns out, they hate you even more.Kavatch99 wrote:=#3- If I play as a Nord, then that would give me a sense that I'm running around my homeland rather than a "visitor".

Re: Continuing the line
Well, I'm likely going to play my stealthy, yet dangerous, anti-hero assassin who starts out as the amoral bounty hunter who cares about nothing but his own purse, but allows the story to slowly mold him into someone who slowly starts to care about the fate of others, even when there is nothing in it for him. He never seems to remember much of his past, but he does remember that his father was part of some dark alchemist cult, which explains the character's affinity for alchemical ingredients. Outside of that, he doesn't remember much of his past. As for the race, either Dark Elf, Imperial, or Bosmer.
Most of my assassin characters were Bosmers, due to their alchemy and marksmen skills. I'm hoping that the Imperial's skills are actually useful this time around, because that's who I'd like to be this time. We'll see. Poisonous daggers and arrows, here we come!

Re: Continuing the line
Well, I played as an upper-class, somewhat arrogant Altmer Mage in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.
I plan on continuing in Skyrim, since Altmer mages, especially powerful ones, tend to live far longer than the 200 years between Oblivion and Skyrim.

Re: Continuing the line
I'm considering continuing with my main character in Skyrim, but it's really a tricky decision. I'm worried about how my current character's build would fare in whatever game environment Skyrim introduces. I'd like to keep the general physical look of my character the same, but the attributes and class will likely require some modifications, depending on what new changes Skyrim introduces. Ultimately, it's all relative to that for me.

Re: Continuing the line
Well I always had a trend of playing a Breton or Dark elf I'll probably play Skyrim as a Breton hopefully that 50% magic resist stays and helps me in the cold chasms of Skyrim.

Re: Continuing the line
sticking with my orc Barbarian, played him in morrowind and then oblivion so i might as well continue the line, granted this one will be a descendant. anyone know orc lifespan in TES?
fancy lasers and plastic glocks are no match for a good .357 at your side kid
