Cool Custom Classes

Post by Krazy K »

I was just wondering what custom classes other people thought up that are fun to play with. My favorite that I came up with was a ninja.
Name - Ninja
Sign - Thief
Major - Hand-to-Hand, Blade, Marksman, Sneak, Security, Athletics, and Acrobatics

get some black clothes and enchant them with Chameleon

Don't list classes by "majors" but by gameplay lore the player follows. Your ninja would be long dead and kicked around by every bandit on the road before getting to enchant the clothes if using these -majors-.
You could list -favoured skills-, not marked in any kind in game except just frequently used :) The idea is cool, but start off as a fighter gaining gradually mastery in ninjitsu. Following the way of ninja from the beginning, about halfway will be hell.

Full metal alchemist :)

Heavy Armour, Block, Blade (not really high), Marksman (rather low too), Sneak (for criticals, not for hiding), Destruction and above all Alchemy.

One enemy = one hit = one poison = one dead.

A wide variety of poisons, silencing mages, elemental against element-resistant enemies, paralysing against harder fighters and so on.

Alternatively drink 2-4 of your custom "Restore Magicka" at once and rapidly keep casting Destruction spells of such devastating power that they that drain it dry in one-two casts (but it refills 100% in 2-4s).

Finally against magic-immune enemies, drink 2-4 Restore Health+Fatigue, and attack directly with a sword. No matter how hard they hit, they can't hit faster than your health replenishes, and you keep hitting them too.
Half of inventory capacity filled with self-made potions :)

Cowardly Acrobat
Acrobatics, Alteration (fortify acrobatics 100 for 3s), Boots of Springheel Jak, some more items and... some goddamn mod uncapping the skills :P
Add to that marksman and destruction ranged spells. Simply jump out of enemy's range. Roofs, pillars etc. Of course in caves you're in trouble...

Horse Whisperer
A range of spells making your horse the deadliest creature in Tamriel ;)
Too bad you can't explore Oblivion, Caves and Cities with your horse :)

Name: Trader
Majors:
Mercantile
Heavy Armor
Light Armor
Sneak
Hand to Hand
Alchemy
Restoration

Birthsign: Thief
Focus: Stealth

Synopsis
: Allows you to control rate of advance in the skills you use most often, as well as increasing every stat as you desire. I went with Thief for the Luck +10, since you would normally have to spend 10 level ups to get as many points, which equates to +30
to another stat, something no other sign can give you; it's more like a +10 Agi, Luck, Speed, +30 any. The hardest part is starting out and using your skill ups wisely. Using walk instead of run - saving the points for later - only using combat skills when you need them, rotating between skills so you can balance out their progress easier. Once you get to about level 10, you start to see what you can do. Having merchantle specialized is nice, since you will be able to net more money in the beginning to get going, buy things you wouldn't be able to get till later (like house upgrades to Frostcrage Spire).

That horse whisperer thingy is interesting. To buff the horse with spells. But which spells? Have you tested any good combinations? Is it possible to equip the horse with constant effect stuff? I'd love to build a character like this.

I think you could put spell effects on various horse armor pieces IF it was drag and dropable to the horses paper doll (if it had one). As well as add weapons (such as steel plated horse shoes with spikes on the end). Could be a cool potential mod for the future, similar to to what you get in diablo 2 with your mercenary.

Well, I didn't do much of battle stuff, 'cause my mysticism skill sucks and you need command creature spell (5 points=level 1, all horses are level 1, so for looong, long time.) I fortify speed of the horse, by 15 points because more (in case of black) makes little sense (any horse speedup gets cancelled by game freezes due to stuff not loading on time, the game gets very crashy (you run into a new cell before it begins to load...) and glitchy (suddenly a rock/wall loads right over you, trapping you inside). This makes all enemies on roads redundant, I'm beyond bow range before a bandit can draw the bow and I ride faster than imps' fireballs :)

Lemme find horse stats in TesCS...
Black. Shadowmere is unique and "essential", let's play a "common" one.
Level: 1
Walks.
Respawn.
Can Corpse Check.
AI: Aggression: 0, Confidence, Energy Level and Responsibility 50. The standard AI package involves defensive combat.
Attributes: (yay, the interesting part :)
Every primary except Speed is 50. Speed is 33. Health 325, Spell Pts, Fatigue and Personality 50. Soul lesser.
Combat: 60, Magic 50, Stealth 30. Attack damage 15, reach 64.

Now how does one fortify the attack damage of a creature? They have it somewhat different than NPCs. If I could stack weakness to magic by some 400% and fortify hand to hoof skill by 20 for some reasonable time, and suddenly he kicks with attack 95 and... uh. Well, hurts :)
There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

Name: Seductress (Brigitte)
Race: Breton
Sign: The Lord
Favours Personality and Intelligence
Major skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Blade, Illusion, Mysticism, Sneak, Speechcraft
Most used Minor Skills: Light Armour, Block, Armorer, Destruction

I wanted Brigitte to be very different from Skade, my Nord warrior/ranger. Brigitte is a glamour girl. She uses charm and command spells a lot and depends on her little poisioned blade for melee and spells for ranged attacks. The waterfront shack in IC isn't stylish enough for her so she will focus on getting the Skingrad house. She has joined Mages because she hates that ugly armor she has to wear to stay alive and wants to enchant some clothes that really look good on her.

After starting the main quest and joining Mages in Chorrol she headed for Bruma to get the recommendation there, do some side quests and check out the nearby Frostcrag Spire. She really doesn't have patience enough to get all those recommendations needed to get her into the uni. She wants to start enchanting her warderobe ASAP.

When doing the Two Sides of the Coin quest in Bruma she surprised me. She had to to some time to get the confidence of one NPC so she stole a clay pot right under the nose of the guard. After doing what had to be done and sleeping a little she was handed a note by a mysterious lady. I had never intended Brigitte to be a thief, but she likes the good stuff and it will cost a lot of money to keep her in style. So.. now she's on her way to IC to meet with the Grey Fox, via Azura's shrine (damn, no glow dust) and Cheydinhal to pick up the Dark Rose armour. She didn't leave Bruma before stealing everything in Arnora's house that wasn't nailed to the walls of course. Naughty girl. I wonder what will become of her. She's not even lvl 10 yet.

*bringing up old forums :D 8) *

Ya, im making a breton battlemage

Birthsign : Apprentice
Majors : Alchemy, illusion, conjuration, destruction, athletics(can be changed for light armor/heavy armor if you prefer) acrobatics (can be changed for another skill if you prefer, i just enjoy acrobatics :) ) and blunt (because i enjoy a good old beat down :Twisted Evil: :D )

He uses power conjured beasts and illusion spells instead of armor for spell effectiveness. Relies on illusion/destruction/conjuration mixes (such as paralyze 3 secs, frost damage 100 pts). He does enjoy his fun though ... aka summon skeleton 30 secs, paralyze 30 secs on touch and 100% chameleon 20 secs and a good ole club :P

*by the way, try to start up old forums again, its always fun :) *

Wizard

Ideal race - Breton
Ideal birthsign - Mage, Apprentice if you're feeling a bit mental

Specialisation - Magic
Attributes - Intelligence, Strength

Majors:

Alteration
Blade
Destruction
Illusion
Light Armour
Restoration
Mysticism

NB Conjuration is also a much-used skill, I only didn't put it as a major because it's the quickest-developing skill ever and having it as a minor means that there will be big boosts to intelligence when levelling up.

Yeh, my current character is a Ninja also. Exact same majors and sign as first post, except Light Armour instead of Hand-to-hand. Thought at first about Block, but now I've found the Morag Tong armour I'm glad.

It was quite an interesting storyline with this Bosmer. Joined the Arena, but only being a little chap, it was quite difficult for him there, and needing to eat he turned to crime. Of course his excellent sneaking made him a prime candidate for the Theives Guild, a life that he took to instantly. Unfortunately during one of his missions something went wrong, and he killed an innocent. Was it a mistake, or was something more sinister at work?

Well the Dark Brotherhood nurtured his bad side from then on, and despite being an exceptional assassin capable of murder in a multitude of manners, he always felt somewhat ill at ease with the mindless killing. His association with the Brotherhood is now limited to a, 'here's your job, give me my cut' kind of relationship. His collection of rare items is fast filling his hard earned Skingrad home though.

Class name : Terminator
Stealth
Strength, Endurance
Major Skills : Illusion, Marksman, Blade, Heavy Armor, Athletics, Acrobatics, Armorer

This guy is in heavy armor with a heavely enchanted bow, illusion for escapes, 1 hit wonders are great, but he/she can take hits if its not, also blade skill should be lower, but good enough for backup. As always Athletics and Acrobatics can be changed for other skills if you think there pointless (which i dont :P )
