Should M'aiq Return?
If a thread like this already exists sorry mods. Who else thinks M'aiq the Liar should return in Skyrim? He was in both Morrowind and Oblivion and I find his comments towards forumers very funny so who else wants him to return why/why not?
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
If he could run from Morrowind to Cyrodiil, he should be able to run from Cyrodiil to Skyrim as well.
Yes, I'd definetely like to see him featured in Skyrim, although the few times I've spoke to him in Oblivion he seemed to mention the same things.

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
I'm not so sure. Recurring characters are nice and all, but if he served the same purpose as he did in Oblivion and Morrowind, then it wouldn't really be original, would it? Maybe if theu put him in a quest this time, and gave him loads of new dialogue, then I'd like to see him return.
Re: Should M'aiq Return?
Well, he does have a purpose. His point is to, in a funny manner, address the questions and complaints people have had. Like in Morrowind he mentions horses, in Oblivion he mentions, I think, levitation and.. stuff. If you really think about it hard, you could almost be insulted since he sort of serves to laugh at the people who wanted those things to remain in the game. Or in the case of horses, to be in the game at all.

Call me a Heretic if you want, but I'm afraid M'aiq might be dead two hundred years after the Oblivion Crisis
Re: Should M'aiq Return?
I'd like to have him back. He's awesome, and an easy way to find out what people were complaining about. Not that I think I'd need him to tell me this time. I should see plenty of what people do and don't want in the game just reading through this forum.

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
The original M'aiq would of course be dead; but he could have met a nice Khajiit lady and made a litter of kittens, and the kittens would grow up and have kittens, and so on, keeping the name alive.Molag Bal wrote:Call me a Heretic if you want, but I'm afraid M'aiq might be dead two hundred years after the Oblivion Crisis

If the insanely baseless "Skyrim is 200 years after" is to be believed, probably not. But I'd like him back.

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
Why do people think Skyrim is 200 after Oblivion all of a sudden? I hope people wanting him back doesn't result in leaving him out for that reason....the reason being it is silly past self.

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
M'aiq is timeless! I'm sure that no matter the length of time the job will be carried on by M'aiq the Liar III if necessary.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind if he was actually part of a quest being some sort of "Rabble Rousing Khajiit!" raising uncomfortable questions about Levitation and Mounted Combat.

If he somehow does come back (or has kids or whatever) I'd like to see him have a bigger part, maybe featuring in a quest or something

I'd love to see him back was always fun to encounter.
Maybe give him hints to give the player about expansions in addition to his jokes.
Honestly I want to know my "future" again like I was told in Morrowind

Re: Should M'aiq Return?
Without consideration to whether or not the idea is even plausible, I would find it quite enjoyable to have M'aiq in Skyrim! Who else am I going to shamelessly try and stalk before giving up in a huff because eventually my slow character looses their trail? The comments he makes are a very good highlight to the game, but if they made another character merely similar to him, I would be completely let down. He has been in the two of the other games, and is quite the favored character among the fan-base, so I will sit here thinking of the 'why not?' to this question. *sits down*

Some say M'aiq is immortal. Then again, some say M'aiq is liar.
If M'aiq says it, would you think him immortal, or a liar?

Yeah, I totally want M'aiq, or one of his descendants, to be in Skyrim. I mean, he doesn't hurt anyone, does he? He just tell you things you probably shouldn't listen to.

Talking about oneself in third person is awesome. KalleFlaxx wishes he did that more often.Argonanza wrote:Argonanza enjoys the way M'aiq talks about himself in third person.
