Re: The Dragon Born
I dunno, that doesn't really fit with lore. They're a mysterious race that sort of keep to themselves and spend their time defending their borders from everyone else. I know they do sometimes add new races, but at least the Orcs had been established. The only new race I can imagine them using would be goblins, and that is entirely because I think it'd be awesome.
Hibernate? Where'd you read that? I'm on their wiki page and it says nothing about that. They're not even really war-like, they're "kind and generous." We're talking about the same monkey people, right? Tang Mo

Re: The Dragon Born
I was just watching the trailer again (can't get enough of it
) and I realized that he says in their tounge he's called Dohvakiin, does this mean that dragons talk??? or is akavir attacking which I really doubt for some reason. Also have the Nords fought with dragons in the past, because I don't remember ever reading or hearing of a war between Nords and dragons
Re: The Dragon Born
They have fought with Akavir a couple of times...
Im still counting on the dragons to be related to Akavir.

Re: The Dragon Born
It would be cool if you could play as the Tsaesci or Ka Po Tun.
the book The Story of Lyrisius has something about a vengeful dragon, probably nothing though.

I said that before, actually. I think it just means he's from Cyrodiil. That could be all that the new guy is, from Cyrodiil. Probably from Bravil, I wager.

I'm apparently insane because I can't find it either. I do remember joking that the main character was secretly the Nerevarine. Oh well.

Re: The Dragon Born
Not sure who the dragon born is but am almost certain it will be something to do with the Akavir maybe the black dragons or the Ka Po'Tun are invading Tamriel. On UESP wiki look up Akaviri, there banner is the exact same as the Skyrim sign, coincidence? probably not! The only problam with this theory is that Akavir is to the east of Tamriel, so why attack at skyrim and not Morrowind?

Re: The Dragon Born
Well the Empire's banner is based off of the Akaviri banner.........they look practically the same, just with a few differences

Re: The Dragon Born
I doubt the Nerevarine will have anything to do with the game. Perhaps more rumours, just like in Oblivion. I'm looking forward to hearing what rumours are being spread about The Champion.

Re: The Dragon Born
First of all, I haven't read anything else; however I want to show you something. We already have a dragonborn. One of the names of our second-class divine, Tİber Septim. I also want to remind you that he is directly from Skyrim.

Re: The Dragon Born
All of the imperial dynasties are Dragon Born. From Alessia to Reman Cyrodiil to Martin Septim.
This is due to Akatosh giving Alessia the Amulet of Kings. Only a Dragon Born can wear the Amulet of Kings.
So in other words... the Dovakiin does not have to be related to the Septims.

Well, i have not read The Infernal City, don't the Argonians invade Morrowind? If Bethesda makes the book official lore and puts it in the game then why would the Akaviri invade an already destroyed province? Skyrim would be the next best choice since it s familiar territory, sorta.Darth South wrote:I have read somewhere that all three times they invaded Tamriel, hey did it from Skyrim.Manny wrote:Not sure who the dragon born is but am almost certain it will be something to do with the Akavir maybe the black dragons or the Ka Po'Tun are invading Tamriel. It was the Infernal city, half of morrowind was destroyed and then the argonians invaded it. Hopefully bethesda won't count it as canon.Darth South wrote:It wasn't inferial city, it was a comment which was not denied by the others.Manny wrote:

The thing I will probably hate if it is an invation from Akavir is that it would seem as it is only affecting Skyrim, kinda like in Oblivion where it felt like the crisis was only in Cyrodil. While the invasion of course will be starting in Skyrim I hope that we will see soldiers from other provinces helping, emissaries from the other provinces, a council member every now and then and of course the imperial legion.
The way I see if the Dragon Born is not the PC then he will be some sort of decendant of Tiber or something that would otherwise force a race upon the PC. But if the PC is the Dragon Born then one would probably have to go through some sort of trial or perhaps seek the last red dragon to grant some power over you.
Re: The Dragon Born
Well, looks like its true, the player is indeed the dragon born.
Im slightly disapointed. And back to prison as well

Re: The Dragon Born
According to ES5:Skyrim article in the Game Informer magazine:
"Dragonborn called "dovahkiin" in the language of the dragons, these rare individuals are true dragon hunters. As the game begins, your hero may be the last one left." p.51
and also
"Long ago, a force existed that expelled the dragons. Individuals called dragonborn wield the same mighty power as the dragons themselves....These powerful figures were supported by the dragonguard, later called the Blades. After the dragons' retreat, the Blades eventually came to guard one ancestry of dragonborn individuals, the Septim emperors. Unfortunately for the world, that line of rulers has now been wiped out, and the dragonguard has been hunted down and nearly destroyed. No dragonborn has been seen in decades until you arrive - a dragonborn with the potential to stand against the tide." p.57
The mystery is solved!

Re: The Dragon Born
A Dragon born can be of any race appointed by the nine with special abiltities, the septims where just a small portion of them so everyone assumed they where all Imperials, basically their Dragon hunters and have all the same powers a dragon has and have the ability to wear the amulet of kings so our dragon born will most likely become tameriels new emperor, or the king of skyrim you have to admit you can easily predict how bethesdas game will play out, like i new the Lone wanderer would sacarfice himself without knowing beforehand. They need better writers, because the ingame conversations in Oblivion between Npcs was just embarrsing-quote-
Well met
goodbye
Did you hear what happend at Kvatch
farewell
Just embarrising,Morrowind on the other hand was Amazing!
EDIT:Actually if Akavir was to invade Tamriel is the perfect tactial choice, they could spread down through Skyrim into Cryodil, which is the heart of the Empire and then use the Imperial city as a staging point to capture the other provences.
Also its just the dragon not the monnkeymen snakemen or demons or tigermen invading that will most likely be saved for Tes 6.
