Southern Georgia? Another one. I'm in Southern Georgia as well!
It sort of snowed here. You couldn't even see it, but if you stand outside a minute you'll see it appearing on your clothes. I hear it's supposed to snow in the next few days though, so that's nifty.

Ya that's the way it was here, but I've no idea its supposed to actually snow. I don't pay attention to weather reports, they are always wrong here.

Neither do I. I hate the weather reports. I was asked to look it up however, and happened to remember.

Today hasn't been vey comfortable for me. Not because my family suck or because I don't like Gloucester, but because I've gone from a hangover to vertigo. I've not exactly been feeling very stable, in layman's terms.

Had what people in England tend to refer to at this time of year as 'the bloody family' round. Normally I hate days like that, but I've spent most of the afternoon playing Wii Mario Kart with my 14-year-old cousin. As well as the obligatory shouting of 'Poweeeeeer!' when using a boost, it got very competitive indeed. My ability to get on so well with people who are about 10 years younger than me worries me somewhat.

You're just a child at heart.
Another day of my holidays, though I'm still studying for my finals, coming soon.
Finalized some plans for new years, going to go on a road trip for 6 hours to get to the place, I genuinely can't wait.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today I noticed the forums are very quiet this time of year. Glad to see everyone's getting out and having fun.
I, on the other hand, am trapped in my hometown on account of some crazyblizzard snowstorm that I honestly didn't think would happen. I mean, really, when does the northeastern US ever get snow? (Not counting New England, of course.) I knew my flight was going to be canceled when they canceled an NFL game (which never happens), so here I am, stuck in the Steel City where it's already cold and snowy and lovely. It's nice for the extra day with the siblings, and we've made up for it by getting out and around the town, but I don't look forward to missing out on the work week, which is already cut short thanks to New Year's eve being a holiday. What a bummer. To remedy this I am going ice skating downtown tomorrow.
Maybe this is a sign I was meant to have a vacation. Everything happens for a reason and all that.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Nothing yet, which is sort of a problem. I'm sitting here in front of my computer with OpenOffice displaying the book I'm writing. I'm up to a chapter introducing a rather interesting character, but I can't figure out how to do it. I've had lots of ideas, but none of them are good enough. I suppose I could skip ahead, write another chapter, then come back, but I do that too often. I've actually got another chapter from before that's incomplete for that reason. Similar problem, except I know what's going to happen, just not what the characters will talk about.
So, I'm going to continue sitting here, possibly playing either Sims 3 or Morrowind in the interim, whilst I brainstorm. Fun times.

Today, I went grocery shopping, watched a little TV, and played Fallout. Later, boyfriend and I are going to the drive-in. We're going to get hotdogs, and there are still some of the Christmas brownies left over.

Have a brew, it will sort you out. At the least it will help soothe the pain/irritation a bit.
Spent yesterday night at my mates house, he had a free one so a few of us went over for a boxing day chill. Was good but I had to leave his house after 20 minutes of waking up and running on 3 hours sleep. Took me around an hour and a half in total to make it back home.
Now I'm just sitting here drinking coffee and eating Belgian chocolate cookies....I'm in love. Might go play some Morrowind if I can be bothered.

I felt a bit better this morning. I went for a walk in the park with my cousin, which was nice, seeing as I haven't seen her in almost a year, and it really helped clear my head. I'm just relaxing now in the living room with my family in front of the fire, trying to ignore the crap they're watching on the telly right now.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Dez mil sagüis enlouquecido, what a day that was.
Now that my finger is no longer swollen and purple, I thought I'd take my bike out for a spin at about 7.30 this morning. Taking that literally, I spun three times around on the ice and crumpled half of the frame, losing the chain and one of the gear wheels. Bruised and embarrassed, I returned the two hundred yards to my house.
Upon my return, I was told that we'd be going to Kent for Lunch. 'Kent? Who the hell lives in Kent? What a shi- oh, yeah, her.' Her being my mother's half-sister. So we piled into our frankly unglamorous red estate for the trip down to Tunbridge Wells, which went well enough. Oh wait, we stopped at Bluewater.
I hate Bluewater. It's not a shopping centre, it's a cattle shed. The Mecca for shopping. The temple of trampling. The mosque of merchanting. The- you get the idea. So we traipsed round this hole for a while. I say that, I did have quite a bit of fun looking for a new long jacket to go with my suits, but the only decent grey ones they had were upwards of £120, so we marched back to the car and slithered on the ice into the town centre.
Lunch was nice enough, I suppose. It was one of those post-Christmas picnic-type lunches that we usually have from the 27th to the end of March. It was getting home that was the problem.
Swearing, my mother took her foot off the clutch and the engine died. 'What's the point of a car that only revs the engine when the clutch is away from the drive shaft?' she was yelling, albeit a bit more colourfully. In the end, the great mountain range of Tunbridge Wells became too much for our pitifully weak diesel with its insane amount of torque and a weight of somewhere in the region of our house, and we had to call the Green Flag people.
Two-and-a-half hours later, they arrived. The man got in the car, revved it up to 5000, then took off down the street at a rate of knots I didn't know the car was capable of. 'Yeah, she's buggered,' he proclaimed, and we were winched onto the back of a recovery truck and made the rest of the trip in a far too bumpy manner all the two hours back to the road just down from our house.

Today. Today I lived. I breathed. I consumed nutrients.
Today I lived yet another day of my life.
I enjoyed it, having gotten work done that helped make the world go 'round.
My work was nothing strenuous or taxing.
Nor was it anything that would have gotten me a medal.
It was simple work. It was satisfying work.
Work that makes one hungry out the end of the day for mashed potatoes, a good salad, and a roast.
Work that you look back on and impress your self with.
Today I lived, I breathed, I worked.
Today I was a man.

This yesterday, bot whatever.
I snagged a really good deal at GameStop the other day. Buy 2 used games, get one free. The free game can be any used game of a monetary value of the cheaper of the two bought games. So I bought Red Dead Redemption at $40, Dragon Age Origins: Awakening for $26, and Dragon Age Origins for free. (It was $20.) I also put money down on DAO 2, on which I also hit a deal on that if I pre-order before the new year, I instantly get upgraded the special edition. So, 71 dollars, essentially 3 great games, and a pre-order soon to boost up. Good deal. Good deal.
I'm playing Dragon Age and I don't regret getting it. Romancing Morgana and I'm currently back in the Circle of Magi looking to enlist them to assist the Grey Wardens. However, I'm in the Fade and I absolutely hate the Fade. I'll have to stiff my lip and deal with it.
