Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today? I got one last haircut ready for Christmas, and decided to go against my instincts and play some Oblvion. And it's fun, a lot more than it was when I first played it. Probably because I spend a good amount of time trying to get guards to say "Stop right there criminal scum!" just for the experience. Oh, and apparently, I have a new "boyfriend", if any of you actually believe that Cuban propaganda.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
If I helped, you're welcome. And glad that we cheered you up.
Today? I went out to buy my last two presents and a memory card for my PSP. One present just involved walking for 5 minutes, so that's cool. For the last one (for my sister) and my memory card, though, I had to go by bike(motorcycle), which obviously meant I had to hope for it not to rain. Luckily, it didn't. I managed to get the present no problems, but when I got home I found out I had just wasted 20€ on the wrong type of card. I'm going back to the store on Saturday. Here's to hoping they can do something about it.

I heard the TES V trailer again and burst out into uncontrollable laughter.
(IMO, just listen to it and don't watch it. You get those smaller details, like the background music, the chanting, etc...)

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I've been awake for two hours (that's a 4 am wake up over here) and am about to spend the entire day traveling by every possible mode of transportation except horse and boat. Which is pretty impressive if you ask me, and rather fortunate, since when I was in Istanbul I realized I have a horrible sea sickness...boats and I don't do so well. We might get hit with a neat winter storm this weekend, and that's great because yay, snow! but not so great because boo, getting stuck in airport! Suppose there's a first time for everything though, and storms tend to be pretty hyped up on the US Eastern Coast. Sissies, really.
I sure do wish the sun would come up, though.

Well my day was spent doing more 3D work, discovering the Minecraft forums, becoming the apprentice spontaneously of one of the members there, and getting attacked on by someone who didn't like my sig.
Now my relatives are over, and my cousin, much to my dismay is sitting next to me while I post this. She's annoying, quite annoying. Though she can see my screen, I doubt she could read what I'm posting (Even at 7 years old).

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I didn't really do much today. All the normal stuff in my daily routine, helped my mum get the house ready for tomorrow, played a bit of Morrowind and Oblivion for a couple of hours, got stuck in one of those annoying phone calls where the person onthe other end never shuts up for about half an hour but you have to keep listening so as not to be rude. So yeah, not a very exciting Christmas eve.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I hate those phone calls, I remember once when I was in abit of a mood I just 'tsk'd and hung up.
They never mentioned it, but they got abit distant after that. >_>
Today, about half an hour ago really, I helped Santa build a bike.
He just directed, though. -.-
I don't think there's any problems, but if it falls apart while my sister's on it tomorrow the director gets blamed.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
So there I was...
Whilst throwing away the breakfast wastes, I think to myself, self (which is a strange thing to think oneself), "the garbage looks full, I better take it out later today"... so as Noon comes around, I figure since I'm going through all of the trouble of unlocking and opening the door, I might as well go get some gas, and some food... course, I can't go out looking like I was, so decided to hop in the shower, and throw on some clothes (wouldn't do to go and get arrested for indecent exposures). Then as I have time to wait, as I don't blow dry my hair, I realized that it is not good to go shopping on a empty stomache, so I have some lunches... aaaaaaaaaand, 4 hours later, I am finally done...
...dang, that was too much work for just taking out the trash.
...and for the weatherly concerned = 65 F / 18 C, but it seemed warmer, as there was no wind, and the Sun was rather warm. I should have worn shorts.

I'm the same way. I call it a minor form of Forrest Gump complex. You reach one point, and you figure, "well, now I might as well take care of _____."Jeff wrote:So there I was...![]()

I'm actually like 15% OCD. I'm freakishly organized and when I clean it usually turns into a several hour ordeal.
Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
It becomes a problem though, as I get started in one direction, and get headed in another... like I forgot to book my flight to Orlando for work.
Cleaning isn't that bad for me, as I am a clean as I go person, and being organized, I put things where they go. ...so cleaning is more of a sanitizing things. Just spray and wipe down with some sanitizer.

I made lunch. Boyfriend declares that the lamb shanks I made were the best he's ever had
Not a compliment he dishes out lightly. And I baked some perfect brownies. I'm not kidding. I'll never ever use another brownie recipe ever again. Ever.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Christmas was... suprisingly good. I got prenty of nice enough presents, and the ones I gave out were met with a good reception. My sister was the happiest I've seen her in a while, and my stepdad reminded me of the fact that even though he's a bit of a dick, he's only looking out for his family. Doctor Who and The Royle Family were brilliant as always, and my mam was considerate to bake me a lovely tomatoey roast for our Christmas lunch. Of course, my extended family had to spoil it all by being miserable and whingy (four relatives told me my hair was sinful
) but I tried not to listen to them. Tomorrow we're heading over to Gloucester to see the other half of our family (who are actually quite pleasant) so that'll be fun enough.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
So much food....so much booze....it's a Christmas miracle I am still standing.
This was by far the best Christmas I have ever had, yet the presents where not nearly as 'extravagant'. But I don't care about that sort of thing, never have. The fact that I my sisters are all happy and my parents to boot made it why it is was so great. Also my sister who lives in London is staying with us for the week and we spent the last few hours just talking about the future and catching up on each others lives. She made me realise how much I have changed over the last year, how much I have grown up, we never would talk like this before so it was truly something special to have that strong of a connection with her now.
Her boyfriend, a really good guy, has the same sort of attitude I have so we get on extremely well, has also said he can probably hook me up with a job once I finish college. He's in the event business as a sound engineer and he gets to travel across the world helping out with gigs and the like. Sounds like the sort of thing I have always wanted.
On another note, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. From what I have read it seems that most of you truly did.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today I woke up back home, surrounded by my brothers (and one of their girlfriends), got a shiny new laptop, discovered Steam, and drank an awful lot. I am pretty sure that is all that needs to be said to clarify how awesome it was. Ho ho ho.
On a downside, there is a blizzard warning back where I live near NYC...and I'm supposed to be flying back. I hope they're lying like all the bazillion other times they got me excited for snow for nothing. They like to do that, those weathermen.

Today, I'm making roasted veggie pasta with the leftover veg from yesterday. And playing New Vegas, with the finally-downloaded music mod from DorosTheConqueror, so that I finally won't have to switch off all the radios. Maybe watch a little Stargate: Universe with boyfriend.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
So this morning I'm just about to get out of bed and turn ol' Xbox when my crazy friend comes knocking at my door then my window. I'm trying to keep my dog from barking and waking all in the house up at the same time I'm trying to keep him from banging on the window nonstop a moment so I can get the dang window open. He's saying all kinds of stuff trying to get me to open the window(even though i was going to open it already), I hear him say its snowing and I'm thinking 'YA right, screw you', but when I finally open the window he keeps telling me 'Dude its snowing!' I finally stop and look and lo and behold very lightly it was indeed snowing. In southern Georgia it doesn't ever snow, but where I live it hasn't snowed at all in over 23 years, over a decade before I moved here. So even though it wasn't sticking, it was snowing. Which was totally sweet
