Will you pre order The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

I've been considering pre-ordering ESV for awhile now, but I've also been wondering about a collectors edition... So I'm kinda in a pickle, I want to order it now just because I want it sooo bad lol, but I know the collector editions are worth wait. Any idea on when a CE would be available for pre order? And what are you doing?

EDIT: Yeah, totally forgot about maybe lol, anyway I added re-voting as well.

Here's the way I see it, the game will always be available for you to buy. Why purchase it so early when, as you said, a collector's edition will most likely be available.

My advice: wait. I guarantee that if you want it that bad, you will get it, I'm not saying to not pre-order it at all, I'm simply saying that you shouldn't pre-order it the day it is announced lol, there will most likely be promotional offers and whatnot and one of them may appeal to you, so I say wait a bit longer at least until about a month before the game actually comes out, most likely all the special offers will have been announced by then.

Yeah, good point. I just wanted the satisfaction of knowing that I had it already (in a sense) lol
But I guess I'll wait, I've heard the collector's editions usually come with some kinda goodies, so it will be worth the wait. Thanks!

I've never bought a CE of an Elder Scrolls game (...any game for that matter). Do they cost more than the original? And don't they both come out at the same time?

They will be available (if they produce a CE) the same day, so If it's before the oh-so-magical date I think you will be okay.

I'll snag up the collector's edition at the midnight release with some friends of mine who already plan to get it. Of course, that isn't before I pre-order it.

There's no need for me tbh. November is near Christmas. Sure it'll be sold out at most places but around 16th and 17th December, Amazon would have it. Possibly at a cheap price.

I'm waiting for the Collectors Edition to come up on Amazon, then snagging it ASAP. Of course, it might cost a lot of money, so if all else fails, I'll just pre-order the standard edition instead. Hopefully the game won't sell out too quickly for me to.

Oh my god. It's only £27.99 pre order for PC. And it runs on XP!

EDIT: Oh no, it's rated 18. Though I guess that's only pre release rating...

I was dissapointed to see that there wasn't a "maybe" answer in the poll.
Because to me it's really a matter of price and system requirements... I'll probably have to get a new computer to run the game. So it's really no fun to preorder it if I can't run it.

Maybe, but not before late 2011. I'll have to see where I can get the English version, anyway. Because there's no way in hell, especially after the disastrous translation they did for the German version of Oblivion, that I'm gonna buy any other than the English version.

By the way, am I the only one who's not that happy about Bethesda already giving a specific release date? It's a lot of time until then, lots of things can happen, and I'm worried that if they release the game too early just because they've approached the deadline, they're gonna leave some stuff out (which will then be available for a price as DLCs later on) and leave a lot of bugs in.

Straight up! I agree with that %100 percent. Now don't get me wrong I love having a date to look forward to, but I don't want that to affect the overall game play when it does come out. For example, in the topic talking about the NPC dialogue that was supposed to be in Oblivion, but that was cut. Imagine what we'd be missing out on this time around!!

They can't know that so far in advance, unless they plan to be done implementing all features by mid 2011 or earlier. If they do, then I expect Skyrim to be nearly bug free. And let's face it, that's rarely the case with games these days.

I have a feeling that Bethesda is a company that listens to their user base. Look at Obsidian and New Vegas. It added quite a few things that were taken from the Fallout modding community, like weapon mods.
