just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself (fresh meat) after seeing all the mods "encouraging" new members posting in other threads to do so. I'm a diehard TES player from the days of Morrowind on my old Xbox, which I still have (not 360) to playing through Oblivion on PC, both with pretty much pure "Mage"-style type characters.

now, I've recently returned to Morrowind with a renewed interest in seeing what I can cobble together more along the lines of a hybrid "battlemage"-style type character with a few combat and stealth skills mixed in with the alchemy, enchanting and spell-slinging.

I've even got a cool back-story and name for my new custom class, but the real challenges that I could use some advice and help on have been in the minor details and "tweaks" that seem to be called for, which the wiki tends to neglect or overlook, but those are topics for other discussions and threads.

not sure what else other than "hi" and I look forward to getting to know everyone, and (hopefully) being able to contribute as well as get a few of my own questions answered.

Salutations Syn! I'm always pleased to see someone else who describes themselves as "hardcore" and a Morrowind player. I like you already!

Well, you can always "officially" post without making an introduction - it's just nice to do so, since it helps build the community. Once a mod determines you're not a spambot you get thrown into the "real" member group, although I think nowadays posting in here proves that - but one of our green overlords can tell you better. But yes, post away! Officially fantastic, don't you say?

Well, I'm back from my little weekend away, but of vourse I returned home to find that my modem has been regurgitating my connecion at crappy speeds once again, and probably isn't going to see the end of 2010 at this rate. So if I disappear without a trace, expect the worst (as in, my internet has screwed itself over and left me high and dry at the time of the year where the tech guys are unavailable.

Ooh look, a new Elder Scrolls game.
