Good point. You were the Nevarine in Morrowind and you were of significant status in Arena and Daggerfall. It would be good to get some sense of empowerment instead of running errands for the hero.Generalno1 wrote: I think it's much more likely that you are the dragon born. So far in all the games, you've been the special something, except maybe Oblivion, but you were in the emperor's dreams then too.

That's a point against you're character being dragon born. I mean, it would be even weirder if you're character was Khajiit or Bosmer

Dragon Born Bosmer: "Me, really? Why not say... that guy over there? No? Me? Alright, then, you're the people of Skyrim! whatever you say!"

But what if you're born on a certain day to uncertain parents ignorant of the role you are to play in that nations history?Generalno1 wrote:That's a point against you're character being dragon born. I mean, it would be even weirder if you're character was Khajiit or Bosmer

Are you really going to play the dragonborn? What if it's like in Oblivion and you're just supposed to help him.

Re: Woot!
It'd be nice for the series to grow up a bit. Oblivion was quite bright and colourful and nice.

Re: Woot!
Since the series takes place in when some big huge danger is coming, maybe the game will have a darker feel to it?

Re: Woot!
I thought that Dragon Born is the enemy of the Daedra horde or something. Perhaps the protagonist is Dovahkiin.ShadowWarrior wrote:It's rated 18?Lindai wrote:Rated 18?![]()
This should be un-[&@%!]-real.
And the trailer makes it seem that Dragon born is an enemy? So maybe Skyrim has seceded from the empire? Or maybe it's something different?
18 implies language, sex or strong violence. I personally think that a combination of all would add to the game.

Re: Woot!
Moving to the ES v topic
Dovahkiin is the dragon born. And the only other mention of dragon born is the fact that the emperors are dragon born.

Oblivion had a 'big huge danger' coming. People still acted like teletubbies.

Re: Woot!
I don't think they'd put that much sex in tbh. I can't imagine Bethesda creating stuff like Friends and Lovers and putting it in the game. Probably something like Siren's Deception again. They could just switch 18 to M like with Oblivion...Lindai wrote:

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Discussion
Strong violence makes sense, what with it being in Skyrim, and dealing with Dragons to boot

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Discussion
Or Mabey you could have the freedom to marry sombody (sort of like in Fable.) Then at some point your spose would come up to you and ask if you wanted to have a kid. You don't see anything, but he/she will tell they'll be in your bed when you're ready.
I doubt this would happen though, would be cool if it did.
also regarding the Dragon Born dissucion, mabey your race would detirmin your role.
EX: If your Imperial, your are the dragon born. If your Argonian, your trying to kill the dragon born

Re: The Elder Scrolls V Discussion
But it will become lore, so I don't think you get to choose if you want to kill Dragon Born, or whatever. If Dragon Born survives in lore, you couldn't kill him in game.
