Your Equipment

Post by Arch-Mage Matt »

What does your character usually wear, either from a mod or not? Or, what is your favorite equipment? Includes enchantments, armor, clothing, jewellry, and weapons.

I usually wear Noble Plate Armor from this mod and usually change weapons way too much to say.

Wow, it really depends. I nearly always roleplay by race so just whatever fits the stereotype of that race...

I go for clothes. Most of them are from the Elsweyr mod.

Light Armour, mostly. Sometimes Heavy Armour.
Enchanted rings and enchanted amulets/necklaces as well.

Hmmm. I tend to opt for:

Clothing: Black and Burgundy Outfit (normally Deceiver's Finery) and Gold-trimmed Shoes, with an Elven dagger.

Light Armor: Mithril, no helmet, usually equipped with Chillrend.

Heavy Armor: Ebony. In fact, I just take everything from Umbra and equip it, although usually I don't bother with a helmet.

I usually go for light armor.

And sometimes I like to dress up as a average Joe with a Plaid Shirt, Leather Greaves, Leather Boots and Leather Bracers.

Enchanted stuff, I always wear a hood which is self enchanted.

Heavy armour or robes more than anything else though.

Usually Heavy Armor.
My favorites are Knights of the Nine gear and Perfect Madness gear.
I usually use longswords, so the KOTN longsword and the Perfect Madness longsword respectively. Alongside matching shield.

I'm obsessed with making sure the gear I use matches, if I wear an Iron Cuirass, all my other armor slots have to be Iron, or normal clothes that look good with iron. My weapon also has to be iron. I also don't "upgrade" to the next set until I have all the matching pieces.

Thanks to my obsession with wearing complete matching sets, I'm very good at making collections since I have the complete set for every type of armor I use (I zealously hunt down the pieces I'm missing in related dungeons). If you're wearing the Dwarven Gauntlets I need to complete my armor, I will destroy you without mecry.

For Mages I use robes. :D
Whatever kind, custom enchanted or not. Recently I had the great idea to become a Stealth Mage and use the Black Hand Robes... Going to do this soon, since I never use the Robes when I'm not in town because I like having armor usually. My mages carry a Dagger of Elven Quality (Looks the most "ceremonial" imo) for applying poisons and a staff for multipurpose use.

For stealth characters I use Leather Armor for thieves, and Raiment of the Crimson Scars alongside Shrouded Hood for assassins. My thieves use shortswords of whatevers best with no shield. They also use bows of the best quality. My assassins use daggers and bows, once again just whatevers best.

Wait. Are you calling Dennis scary? Cause he can't help his rare scale disorder. You know what he does for a living? He's a mudcrab exterminator. He keeps the crab population low so that regular Joes everywhere can enjoy a walk without getting maimed. He makes a goddamn difference! What do you do that's so great??

One wears Daedric Lord armour (but with Bladeturn Hood), or dark seducer armour. She likes dark stuff I guess. Dunmer :P Daedric Lord armour is just perfect for a character who has done all quests, master of all guilds, etc., wear something really badass.

My golden saint.. I guess he wears Dwarven a lot (at lvl 29...), but since he's a mage I sometimes put him in robes.

I haven't really found out what my new Khajiit likes yet. I'm not being picky with her, she seems to use what she can get, and *I* have been trying to mix armour for her to allow her to train more things, really. Didn't realize how powerful a normal-statted race would be with efficient levelling (Golden saint males start out really weak so it didn't feel like much). She can handle herself unarmed and unarmoured at lvl 8 and 40% difficulty so far. Tl;dr no idea. I might stick her in Elven when she gets old enough.

I like checking out blingy mod outfits, but there's a lot of it I end up not using in the long run. Generally if it doesn't 'fit in' with the medieval/fantasy style or your peepee hangs out too much - OH MODS - I get sick of it.

and 99% of the time... hoods > helmets. There are very few helmets I like, Mazken helmet is one of them.

I custom a leather:
cuirass
greaves
gaulntlets
Boots
shield
for 20% chamelleon each
then i enchant 2 rings:
1, 10 points of speed
2, 10 points of agility
then 1 amulet for 10 points of marksman, for my bow
i enchant a hood for 10 marksman aswell
i use a bow enchanted for 50 drain health and soultrap
i duplicate black soul gems, so i dont run out of charge and can make all this fast,
with this i can kill anyone, and be unseen while stealing, feel free to use this outfit.

I like how your characters have thier "own" preferences that you discover as you play them... Me, my characters are either a reflection of myself or they feel forced.

I just naturally prefer Heavy Armor with Longswords and a Shield. With no magic or marksman or sneak. I do play and try other things, it just doesn't feel "right." With a few exceptions, like my current assassin character which I'm having fun with.

I will wear anything that looks neat and uniform. cant stand to many frilly bits, so I opt for mithril or mage robes, and I wear stuff that suits my roleplay. I wear hoods alot to. If I wear civilian clothing, then its black burgundy for my lvl 42 main, and sack cloth/chainmail for my lvl 7 khajiit. weapon wise it changes alot. But main ones are glass/elven/daedric shortswords/claymores.

Hmm, I've changed my equipment about 3 or so times over the past 3 weeks of my first proper assasin-esque character.

I found both the DB shrouded armour and DBH Robes to be a bit limiting in terms of customisation.
I'm now happily wearing full Morag Tong armour (Level 13 or so), minus the Gauntlets (Wearing a normal pair of leather gauntlets, but I plan on enchanting it soon, but I haven't quite worked out with what yet) and a custom enchanted leather shield, which gives me +41 encumbrance.

As far as weaponary goes, I mainly use unenchanted dwarven daggers and enchanted bows (not much of a fan of maces/axes due to their weight), along with whatever arrows come my way (currently favouriting silver arrows, though). I enjoy wearing hoods as opposed to helmets, just looks a lot cooler.

maybe you could enchant them gauntlets with something like marksman, and call them something like gauntlets of dead eye lol! Enchanting stuff is always fun!
