I was thinking pretty much the same thing, my stories always end up mentally deranged anyway. I'll probably have a go at the others just for a bit of fun though.

Ever heard of paint.net? It's a very nice program, easy to learn and use, with a zillion plug-ins etc. Might be worth a try, http://www.getpaint.net/index.html.

Query: Does my work have to be finished? Will the matter of it not being finished affect judging?

I would think so... most competitions are on finished work after all. I guess it would also depend on if it's just good, or GOOD.

Just looked at the date, you guys have only a few more days before the submition date ends. I'll put out the specifics,
You have till 21st midnight to submit your entries, all entries made on the 22nd will not be counted. This will be according to GMT. So you guys will have to see what time that is according to your zones.
The results will be posted on the 23rd, the day of the anniversary, when angels will sing

Does the Writing Comp. have a certain word limit? I remember last years was something like 3000 words or something.

I've just realised that since I'm tweaking and finishing off a one-shot I started a while ago I might need to edit out a couple of swear words, unless I can keep them in for authenticity?
"All right people, we created this multi-billion dollar facility under Cheyenne Mountain so that we can use this thing. Anyone know how?"

I don't think that mods would forbid an entry for having surly words.

As long as it isn't too sweary, and you link somewhere else.
And no word limit. though an extremely long written work might be more difficult to win with

Where would 'somewhere else' be? Like, a topic in The Arts thread or something?

I have to ask, will the mods be asking each other questions again? If not, I think I should ask more questions so that there's at least a point to the interviews.

Well, the interviews seem really boring without the mods asking each other questions. Meh, I can't think of many more questions to add.
