Anniversary!!(suggestions)

I say you throw in a short story. Preferably not restricted to ES, because that just hinders everything.

I agree with you on the Short Story part - but shouldn't it be related to ES, as the is the UESP forums?

I don't see the UESPF as an Elder Scrolls forum, and for that matter, celebrating it's anniversary should be more focused on the people who made it possible. And when I say "people who made it possible" I mean the normal users. I'd love to partake in a competition, but I don't think basing it on Elder Scrolls is the best idea. We should be celebrating ourselves and not a videogame series. We should be celebrating the talents and the personalities of those users, because, in the end, that's the UESPF.

I don't see it as a message board about Elder Scrolls, I see it as a collection of people. Simply that, the Elder Scrolls bit just takes a backseat and twiddles its thumbs while the the people in front of it are distinctively not talking about Elder Scrolls. If you do the math, we talk more in General than we have in Oblivion. (Add the pruned topics from the archives to that and you get 130,000+ posts)

I'm already working on a story, ES related, hope that doesn't take points off for uncreativity. But Is there a limit on how many words it can be?

And I was going to mod the Adoring Fan to congratulate us all, (And Screenshot it) but I don't know, I can't think of anything else...

To present one rather loose idea: having seen the Hat Club's signature, I thought it would be nice for us moderators to have one too. I'm not saying it should be done here and now, it could be a monthly competition as well, but it might suite well here. The team is highly UESP, and you're all so very fond of us... Unfortunately we don't have the time to do it, with all lockings and warnings and bans taking our time.

Okay by me.

1-2 months is overdoing it, though, imo. It'd start to become confusing, especially for newcomers. I wouldn't give it more than a week.

What's the sig comp like? Is it always a picture that has won? Are there any guidelines for it? ......

My first post (bites lip)...be gentle, please. How about a bumper sticker or poster contest? "I brake for GUARS" or "I'd rather be at UESP" or "Driving While Daedric". (BTW, there are places online that will make them for you.)
