2016 (Modern Warfare Roleplay)

My cousin kinda gave me the idea for this...

The year is 2016. Vladimir Makarov’s terrorist attack on Zakhaev International Airport has triggered one of the most catastrophic wars in global history, being the first war to be fought on American soil since WWII. The American loses at the Battle of Washington DC was deviant, with citizens and soldiers alike falling to the bullets of Ultranationalist Russia’s weapons. The United States prevailed…but at a cost, and the Russians have not yet been fully pushed from North America.

Makarov and the Ultranationalist Party is still at large, and the war rages everywhere. The United States is crippled, and struggles to hold their own ground. At the West Coast of the US, at the heart of the renowned city of Los Angeles, another battle has begun. The city is in flames. Russian forces are closing in, and US Army Rangers are struggling to evacuate civilians in time. You are one of these civilians. Your goal - survive through the war. Fight or evade your enemies. Save your friends, family…or yourself only.

The Basic Point

You are not a soldier in this roleplay. You are, in fact, a civilian. You are…or at least you were a citizen of Los Angeles, California. The Spetsnaz have invaded the state, directing the majority of their attention on the city. You will begin at the City of Hope National Medical Center Evacuation Site, where the Army Rangers are attempting to evacuate as many civilians as possible before the Russian forces engulf the entire city.

Yes, you are a civilian. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be fighting. There will be multiple civilian militias, resistances, and rebellions for you to join. But your primary goal here is survival. You can support either side of the war. Just because you were living in LA doesn’t mean you have to support the US.

1. I am God…of this roleplay. Whatever I say goes.

2. Crikey (<--BE SURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE!!!)

3. No god-modding or ubering. You’re a civilian, so the chances of you stashing an AK-47 and a bazooka in your closet are pretty much nonexistent. You can have pistols and hunting weapons though…

4. No drugs, please. I know, I know, California is known for its…state laws…But don’t bring drugs into this roleplay, mates.

5. You don’t have to know much about LA or California at all to take part in this roleplay, as only the beginning will be based in LA.

6. Romance is allowed, and definitely encouraged. Ever see one of those military movies where the protagonist is fighting to keep his/her love alive? It adds drama and awesomeness.

7. With the note of rule 6, feel free to roleplay as another person’s character’s husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father etc… It would be fun. Just be sure to arrange that through PM’s so that it doesn’t clutter this thread.

8. This IS based on the MW 2 storyline. You may very well come across some of the NPC’s found in the game.

9. You may do whatever you want when you want to. Just don’t be stupid. This is war…there’s flying bullets and gunfire everywhere.

10. Put “monkeys, monkeys, I love monkeys” in your post if you read these rules.

11. You DO NOT have to side with the US. Keep that in mind if the enemies corner you and offer no chance to escape…

12. You do have minor control of NPC's.

Bio: Tim has a loving family with 3 kids, 12, 14, and 16. He is really happy, and will sacrifice himself for the greater good. He always packs a Glock with him, just in case. He also stores a Sniper Rifle, he just keeps it well hidden.

Political Views: Tim stands up for those who murder in cold blood, so he is strongly on the US side, but if the US starts murdering innocents, he can easily be swayed to the other side.

I'm not really a Modern Warfare fan, but I like the civilian idea, and it is a King A roleplay, so I'll sign up.

Name: Lola Lapinda

Occupation (before Russian attack): Supermarket vendor

Bio: Originally hailing from Colombia, Lola moved to the States when she was 18. She has never really liked the attitude or people there, and often found herself alienated for her background. Given the fact that she grew up in the centre of the cocaine industry, she is more than able to take care of herself, and isn't scared easily.

Political Views: Lola is strongly Socialist. She has no love for those who put themselves above everyone else, and desires to make things fairer on the suffering people in the world, such as in her country. She has never liked the fact that a lot of people in the city lived a life of luxury, and this may sway her towards the Russian side. For now, she's by her lonesome in this war.

Yeah, so this is kinda my first roleplay character that's not extremely ignorant and arrogant.

Name: Casamir Torok

Ethnicity: Romani (Gypsy)-Spanish

Eye Color: Grey

Physical Appearance: Has mildly short, thick black hair that is spiked at the center and combed neatly through to the back. A dark shade of skin that is common among the Romani minority. A larger set of eyes, sharp features, no facial hair. He’s very handsome and attractive, but never acknowledges this and often views himself as unattractive and useless. He is a tad bit muscular, but extremely thin due to lack of food.

Clothing: A pair of jeans and worn black shoes. On his torso is a white t-shirt and jacket. He has little clothing other than this outfit.

Occupation (before Russian attack): Custodian, construction worker (works two jobs to support himself)

Bio: Casamir was born to a destitute family in a Gypsy ghetto of Romania. The closest thing he had to toys during his childhood were pieces of garbage he’d find in the trash like chicken bones, pizza crust, and beer cans. At the very bottom of the food chain, he and his father, mother, and sister each had to work full-time jobs to support the family. With no official birth certificate, they each found job-hunting to be extremely difficult. When he was twenty-four, he had saved enough money to buy him a one-way ticket to America as well as a short English class, as he had no reason to stay in Romania. He has found it even more difficult to find a job in this so-called “land of opportunity” than he did back home. He lives in a one room apartment in the slums of the city, working two jobs just to put a few bites on the table. However, he never complains, and views himself as lucky to live in such a wondrous nation as the United states of America….
He enjoys music and dancing, and shares his race's culture and customs whenever given the chance.

Political Views: Casamir hardly speaks English, and has only lived in the US for two years. He doesn’t much understand American politics at all. He realizes that regardless of whether or not the American government is “good” or “bad”, it doesn’t effect him in any way. He decides not to pay attention, and hopes to live through the war.

Occupation: Auto Mechanic

Bio: Aiden grew up in Detroit with his father. They shared a love for classic hot rods and muscle cars. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 after graduating from a mechanic's college. He found work at a locally-owned mechanic shop.

Political Views: Aiden followed the teachings of individualist anarchism, although he doesn't support civil anarchy.

I know I said I would give up Aiden Ward as a name, but honestly, I can't think of anything that good.

The ground shook beneath the people. Lights flickered throughout the long, white hallway. US Army Rangers lined each side of the hallway. They guided civilians in a single file line to the evacuation point of the hospital. It was chaos. Soldiers were barking orders, civilians crying, screaming, and yelling. Wounded soldiers and civlians were kept in the rooms that lined the halls. Blood was everywhere. t was terrible. The war had finally reached the Western Coast.

((Each of your characters are civilians in the line making their way down the hallway. You'll all be next to each other, in a group. It'll make things easier. Tim is in the front, Lola is behind him, Casamir is behind Lola, and Aiden is behind Casamir. Keep in mind, you're not the only civilians. There are hundreds in front of Tim, and hundreds behind Aiden. You may begin!))

Casamir was in shock. He had never seen anything like this happen. He had always thought of America as "indestructable". And now look at what had happened. He could make out what a few of the soldiers were saying. He was picking up English fast, and he now could be fully understood when he spoke. He didn't know everything about the English language, but we was working hard to learn. He was good at learning new languages. He spoke Romanian (of course), but also knew a bit of Spanish, Italian, and Russian.

He looked around. Blood was everywhere. It didn't stun him. He had seen lots of blood many times before. But it was still horrible. Blood meant pain and death. If anything, it made him sad. "Why is this happening?" he said in a heavy Romanian accent.

Bio: Oakes was imprisoned in a California State Penitentiary when he shot and killed his neighbor and the man's wife; Oakes had no qualms with murdering a forty-nine year old alchoholic who abused his dogs. After serving one half-year of his sentence, he escaped, using a pistol given to him by another inmate to shoot at and threaten prison guards, injuring several. He assumed a false identity, Samuel Oakes, and took up a job as a welder, one of his skills and hobbies.

Samuel pushed his way past half of the evacuation line, ignoring the orders of the Army Rangers positioned periodically. It was pure chaos, all around him. At least I know I'm not going back to jail, he thought grimly. Making his way further, he ended up behind an immigrant who was shouting in a confused manner.
