Re: Pokemon!
The series became really boring and annoying after a while. It eventually became, One happy friend to anothe happy freind, and yet another lesson. not to mention Ash is a loser if you think about it.
He never won anything, and he got conned out of almost every pokemon he ever had. Remember Primeape? the guy said "I'll take him for training, toughen him up" and Ash forgot about him.
not to mention Gary...
The series, like the Pokemon franchise, should have stopped with Hoenn. Hell, the series should have been better after Jhoto, that's when i stopped watching.
The first season was awesome though. I still remember most of the episodes

@Veck:*Snaps fingers* You are forgiven.
I just caught a Poliwhirl which I taught Waterfall, to climb up the waterfall in Pokémon Crystal (dunno exactly what the place is called), but now I can't find the damn waterfall!

I'm not sure, but I've surfed from my hometown to the other side of the sea, and I got rid of Team Rocket and those Gyrados', then I went through an ice cave and found the HM/TM/whatever it is. That's pretty much all I know.

owait, That was her younger brother..
Honestly though, the new generations rock.
They fixed that stupid type=physical/special rule, split said special into Att. and Def., added new pokés with new dual-type variations, moves, movesets and, most importantly, sprites.
Someone already commented on the awesomeness of Reshiram, Gen V's work is done.
btw, You use Waterfall to the right of your hometown in Crystal, there'll be a cave entrance to the far right, after some dude congratulates you on stepping into Kanto..
Anyway, waterfall's in there.

Hey guys, this is Arbok's page. Show a little respect and post some pics, okay!
And I won't admit to liking the 3rd 4th and 5th gens, as I don't.

I liked Hoenn (that's the third generation, right?), haven't gone near the fourth or fifth, so I can't comment.

I've liked the 3rd generation. I've played pearl, and I don't like Sinnoh and the black and white

Re: Pokemon!
Look at it this way. Nintendo have had a lot of success with Pokemon, so they'll carry on making the games. Now, would you rather they made another generation, or Pokemon mystery dungeon 2? I rest my case.

They already did make PMD 2. Plus, there's a third, Japan-only WiiWare PMD game.Veck wrote:Look at it this way. Nintendo have had a lot of success with Pokemon, so they'll carry on making the games. Now, would you rather they made another generation, or Pokemon mystery dungeon 2? I rest my case.

Re: Pokemon!
They should make a HD RPG version of Pokemon Blue. I personally stopped playing Pokemon when I was like 10 'cos of the stupid way they kept adding more Pokemon.

I dunno if your post is pro- or anti-Mystery Dungeon, but I hate it. >_>Veck wrote:Look at it this way. Nintendo have had a lot of success with Pokemon, so they'll carry on making the games. Now, would you rather they made another generation, or Pokemon mystery dungeon 2? I rest my case.
New gens pls.
I've always hated Pikachu..
Think it's because it was forced on me in Yellow, and it always sucked.
I mean srsly, when Brock's your first challenge, you don't want a Pikachu..

Re: Pokemon!
My post was very anti-Mystery Dungeon.
One thing that got me with Fire Red (I was too young to play Red or Blue, forgive me) was that if you picked Charmander, it was ridiculously hard to get another Pokemon that was any use at all against Brock. You basically had a choice between Normals and Bugs, with the odd Pikachu thrown in. Yeah, because Tackle is really useful against a freaking Onyx.

Re: Pokemon!
I usually resorted to a Caterpie, get it to level 10 and spam Confusion.
But the thing is Butterfree sort of falls behind as you progress..
Eventually it's no good, so you've to get that poké purely for the 1st badge.
And I blame Pikachu.
In the FireRed/LeafGreen you can level Charmander to learn Metal Claw, 2x effective on Onix and Geodude.

I could have got Metal Claw? I ended up getting a Caterpie, levelling it up to a Butterfree, then just using Confusion as well. Total pain. They could have at least given you an Oddish to catch in the forests.

Re: Pokemon!
Ahhh...Blue, I played it and fire red so much I memorized the paths. I actually knew where which path was, what pokemon appear there, which trainers appear where, down to which pokemon they had.
How old are you veck? i got into pokemon from Blue.

I'm 15. My first sojoun into Pokemon was when I met a Yorkshire boy on holiday with crystal on his Game Boy Colour. I bought Gold on my Advance and basically did the newb thing; only training the one I got at the start and getting pwned by my rival every time (what was the starter on Gold of Grass type? I can never remember its name. It had a leaf on its head, if that helps).

Ah yes, Chikorita. I must admit, that was one of the cutest things I've ever seen in a game. I'm tempted to get a 3DS and Soul Silver now, to get back into this game.

I got into pokemon at a young age maybe 6 or 7?, my dad got me blue, I played it on the gameboy advance for probably quite a few years.

Chikorita SUCKS. Totodile is cuter :3
My first game was my brothers Pokémon Red, and man... I played it over and over again (rather, I got to where you meet Snorlax for the first time, and then accidentally slapped the batteries, or the game card and it reset all my data.) and man...
Pokémon Red on a Pink Gameboy Colour = IWIN.
Then I got Gold for my birthday. Damn. Best Pokémon Game EVAR. The memories...
And then I lost it in pre-school. I think someone took it, or I dropped it somewhere. I'll miss it forever. I hope to find it in my home, but I doubt I will. R.I.P Pokémon Gold. You were my first and last experience of Pokémon Gold.
Never tried 3rd Gen, because I don't have an Advance.
4th Gen: I've HeartGold, and considering buying Platinum, but still not sure. HeartGold is okay. Very nice, but not the same. I know this sounds weird, because the graphics look great, but I miss the old 8-bit graphics.
