Oblivion from Steam?

Post by I_am_one »

I'm hoping I'll be able to get Oblivion off Steam, and have a few questions. I've heard a few things around here, and I think one of them was some mods (including OOO and OBSE I believe) don't work on Steam. My question is if I were to get Oblivion off Steam, could I get of those two mods (plus others) and have them work? I just don't want to pay $25 for a game I can't use mods with. That's why I have it for Xbox.

Thanks for your help.

Yes they work. OBSE has a specific .dll for the Steam version of the game. I've had OOO installed and played it a bit, as far as I could tell it worked fine.

Just get a retail version if you're so worried.

Thanks for the reply Andre and Kestral.
I would get the retail version, but I've always had bad luck with that type of stuff. Still, thanks for the reply.
