OBSE HELP!

How do i go about installing the OBSE, im new to mods and i have the newest version downloaded, thanks

Well heres a very good tip:
Read the READMES
It's improtant to do that when installing mods, especially bigger mods like Better Cities!
Anyway you have to copy obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, and obse_loader.exe into you Oblivion (NOT '\data' folder)
And when you launch want to launch oblivion always use the obse_loader.exe!
Thats how it works

wait, what i only downloaded one ZIP file that was the OBSE, should that be 3 things? i got it from this site http://obse.silverlock.org/

You'll have to extract the contents of the ZIP files into the Oblivion folder.

If you dont have a programm to unzip i recommend getting 7-Zip

Unzipping may sometimes be a bit unclear, and you end up having your files and folders in wrong places.

That's why I usually do as follows:

1. I unzip the package, until I have clear files and folders
2. I copy and paste the files and folders as supposed

In this case: after unzip, you will see obse_loader.exe and other files, plus src folder --- you copy all these, and then paste them in your C:\Oblivion folder.

After that, when you start Oblivion DO IT through the obse_loader.exe shortcut --- NOT Oblivion shortcut. If I remember correctly, you have to make the OBSE shortcut yourself i.e., right click on the exe, then choose "Make a shortcut", and then drag or copy / paste it to the desktop, or wherever.

Like everything, it's not difficult once you learn it! Until that... it may be highly frustrating.
