A Fire/Ghost type? That would have been perfect against Lucian.

I'm probably going to wait for Gray version (or whatever the third version is called). So far, the third version of each generation has let you get the version mascots of both the other versions.

Well, you can't really blame them. They've struck a (heart)Gold Mine, why abandon it?

Same's for TES. Some say they should've stopped with Daggerfall/Morrowind, while some love Oblivion, and can't wait for the sixth game.

Hell, look at Final Fantasy. They're working on game FOURTEEN now. Talk about Cash Cow Franchise.

FF is different, because each game has a different world, it might as well be a developer's name. FF VII was different from FFXIII
where as pokemon? They just shoot out another 360 wannabes and call it a new game. it's a little better than stamp collecting now.
but i get it. Most new people to pokemon will be excited by the next gen. I'm guessing most of the people who've played blue/red won't though.

Kanto? Johto? Hoenn? Sinnoh? Ishu?
Generalno1 wrote:FF VII was different from FFXIII
Well, so is every Pokémon game. Much the same, but still different. Just like FF.
Generalno1 wrote:where as pokemon? They just shoot out another 360 wannabes and call it a new game.
People say that about FF too
Generalno1 wrote:it's a little better than stamp collecting now.
Everything's better than Stamp Collecting :P

If I replace 'Pokémon' with Final Fantasy and 'Blue/Red' with Final Fantasy 1, it'll still make sense. Because, it's the same there.

I admit I prefer Blue/Red and Gold, but there's nothing wrong with the new games.

When i said new worlds i meant new worlds, with new everything, not a new continent. FF VII did'nt Falçie, or "pulse". FF XIII did'nt have soldier or mako energy.
What did FF shoot out?

Dunno what you mean with "shoot out 360 wannabees". Forgot to remove that part of the quote or something. Dunno.

But, I can't be the only one who buys White because of Zekrom? Come on, look at him! He looks so [&@%!] awesome.
Reshiram looks too divine.

I think creativity with new Pokemon has finally hit rock bottom with Nintendo. Aaaaaagh

It's released in Japan, and I am not going to wait for it to be translated. No, I'll just wait for it to come out in America and an anti-piracy patch to be made until I get it. By then, we'd have all of the information on it anyways. Even if the new Pokemon look stupid.

Huh?

Anyway, I'm gonna pick Smugleaf. He's the second best Pokéman of all time, the best is, of course, Bulbasauce.

Kanto was awesome, Orange Island was pointless, Johto was good, Hoenn was meh, Sinnoh was a pile of rotting monkey $*#*.

And the new one will most likely be worse. The only way they could ever get me back into the show again is if the new female companion has a Mawvile and sentient hair just like it.

Also, this is page 23. Everyone stop and post pictures of Ekans.

grey white pink orange...jeez, how many pokemon games are there now?

im an original red and blue guy.

although, my first game boy was the pokemon yellow special edition one,
that came with pokemon yellow, but i also got red and blue with it, started with those, then went to yellow.
after that, i dont know a thing about it.

so im guessing my highest pokemon number was, mew? or mewtwo? like number 150 i think?

also, im going to guess that with all the new games, the number of pokemon has increased?
and if so, are all the old, original pokemon still around?

i never played the card game, but i tryed to collect as many as i could.

lol, i remember i was in 8th grade when pokemon stadium came out, and i faked being sick to skip track practice (jeopardizing my spot on the team), just so i could go home and play pokemon stadium with the gamepak uploader for n64! lol memories

edit: as for the show, once again, i probaly watched the first seasons they had over here in the u.s.
the good ole days of ash, misty, brock, team rocket, and of course, Pikachu!! ^_^Pika Pika! ^_^

I'm watching the first season right now (Indigo League) and I have to say it is just pure awesome and win. So many childhood memories.

We need to get this thread to page 26, for obvious reasons.

The old Pokemon games were pretty cool. One of the best games for kids really, as it's simple to play, has decent goals and is imaginative. I always hated the series though.

I had Pokémon Crystal for my Game Boy Color, but then it broke down and I can't save because the save file gets corrupted. A couple of weeks ago a dude sent it from his cellphone to mine via Bluetooth, and now I can finally play it again! :D

But my Graveler and Machop just won't evolve! Damn it, I want Golem and Machoke (and Machamp too, of course)!

I'll always remember my time on Pokemon Silver. I caught loads of Pokemon but only ever trained the one I picked at the start, and whatever I did, I could never figure out a way past the Ice Path. I was 8, forgive me.

I bought it on Amazon. Kinda pricey but totally worth the nostalgia. As soon as I'm done with the first season I'll be watching the first movie. :D
