Terry Pratchett for me just now. I'm going to try and get ALL the Discworld ones out my local library because as much as like books there's no way I'm buying 37 books at around £8 each. That's £296 buy the way!
Is this meant to be witty, informative or deep? I doubt I can manage all three.

I am reading Middlemarch by George Eliot. For the second time. I wish I never even had to read it the first time, but it was either that or Paradise Lost.

Re: The 'What are you reading at the moment' thread
I'm reading the book Brisingr (Book 3 of the inheritance series)
Heres a brief overveiw of the first book:
Eragon a younf Farmboy discovers an odd blue stone that turns out to be an dragon egg, the egg hatches for him, making him one of the legendary dragon riders, Eragon sets off on an adventure with the town storyteller Brom who teaches him how to fight and use magic he also give him a remrkable balde callled Zarroc.
After a while of adventuring with Brom, Eragon meets a man called Murtagh who helps him save an elf called Arya from a place named Gil'ead, the group travel across the desert Eragon, Saphira ( The now fully grown dragon), Murtagh and Arya to meet the Varden, a group that oppeses the king Galbatorix who is has lived for thousands of years and is a tyranical ruler.
The king finds out where the Varden ase is and send an army of Urgals ( A race that works for him) to attack the Varden, an epic battle ensues.
(I couldn't say too much incase I gave away the plot without realising my origional post was longer and went into detail about the characters but my computer refreshed the page randomly before I could post)

Currently, my urging of my dear pop, I am reading Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. Surprisingly I like it. I always assumed I wouldn't like a book if it wasn't fantasy or fiction. Guess I was wrong.
I only got that book last year and have read it at least 3 times. it was awesome, but a bit more political than his other two, what with the deciding of the new dwarf king and all. But all in all, very good book indeed. I like how I can see his writing skill improve with each book he writes too, like I see him maturing. I almost view Eragon as Paolini himself; he is constantly growing up way to fast, being presented with problems that most men will never face in their life time. Any one else get this? Or am I even making any sense?DerangedPickle wrote:You're winning, then again i just got it and i'm on about page 100 and something.ShadowWarrior wrote:Brisingr! That's all the rage. Page 397...

Check your sources. The Libertines have been back together for a few momths now.Newsound wrote:I started reading a new book, it's about the amazing lyricist and front man of the former band 'The Libertines' that is Pete'r' Doherty.
Anyway, I should post what I'm reading. It's called Dead Souls. It's a piece of classical Russian literature, so it's practically Norroen Dyrd's dream.

Yeah...but they always say that. There not even sure if there going ahead with a new album, or so I hear. Re: The 'What are you reading at the moment' thread
I'm currently re-reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. Seeing as I recently discovered that my younger brother has minor Asperger's I thought it would be interesting to go back and have a look at other takes on the syndrome. That, and it's really just a nice book.
