Spoiler:
This is it, you finally made it out of The Solar System.
It's time to see what's out there.
The captain of the tramp freighter you booked passage on from Armstrong Outpost on Luna
indifferently orders you to take your luggage and get the hell off his ship.
As you and several other individuals take your first steps into the light of an alien star,
you and your companions are astounded by it's unequivocally bright albedo.
You watch as the freighter eclipses the mild radiance of the white dwarf hovering just outside New Okinawa's circular orbit.
The young white main sequence star bathes you in a healthy and welcoming glow,
as if it understands your anxiety and excitement and wishes to make the extra-solar transition as casual as possible.
Within a few minutes your small group arrives at a shiny step pyramid like structure much like the other various office
buildings within walking distance of the small spaceport you arrived at. It has rounded edges with grooves and channels
cut into the metallic polymer, obviously created to gather rainwater.
A few seconds pass, spent marveling at the environmentally friendly and pragmatically beautiful architecture,
when before you know it you are blasted by state of the art air conditioning and decontamination systems.
As if the universe is conspiring to over stimulate your senses, a large robotic arm with some sort of laser scanner
extends out of an otherwise solid wall of marble inlaid with with silver and gold, giving the room a feeling of
Roman exuberance with a Cyber Punk flair.
The terminal scans the room briskly, then retracts back into the wall, which is revealed to be a hologram of
sorts by the fluid motion of its surface. Had you not seen it for yourself you wouldn't believe it was even there.
Suddenly you receive a message notification on your cyber-optic heads up display.
Three rules apply with character creation:
1) They must originate from Earth or somewhere in the Solar System.
2) They must be human, mutants are okay as long as you can make them believable.
3) They must have a definitive personality.
Three rules about the roleplay itself:
1) I am the game master and originator of this universe,
and if you have a problem or a question about the lore feel free to PM me.
2) Please use proper English grammar in OOC. If your character has an accent or something that's fine,
but otherwise we're doing this Merriam Webster style.
3) This roleplay is going to be fairly loose but I promise it won't be total anarchy.
Unless that's the current scenario, then there will be molotovs for everyone.
And on a last note, feel free to make up some of your own lore for your character's back stories.
I've got plenty of ideas but I'm open to suggestion and want you to feel like you have ownership of your PC's.

Just as you finish reading the welcome message, you are pinged with another correspondence.Dallax Welcome Runtime #32487 wrote:Welcome to New Okinawa!
The local or "Orion" spur of our galaxy might seem small in comparison to the rest of The Milky Way,
but nonetheless this is a large and mostly unexplored region of space.
For the past two decades we here at Dallax Enlistment Services have aided in establishing Terran military and
economic dominance in this local sector. Our long lost brethren from among the stars might
see us as upstarts and novitiates to the ways of the galaxy, but we believe that our record breaking
rise to the 5th most powerful hominid species in known space speaks for itself.
It is our honor to accept all interested Terrans or those of Terran ancestry into our ranks.
There is no better way to see the galaxy than to serve with the United Stars of Terra armed forces and Merchant Marines.
Naturalized citizens are also encouraged to apply, we need all the help we can get!
Take some time to come up with your characters.Enlistment Form wrote:Judging by your presence within this building of 156.45 seconds,
