Conjuration is whack
so what is the best daedric monster to summon? im wondering because i spent lots of time working on a xivilai spell only to realize the conjured versions suck and are unarmed... is there any way to fix that?

List of summonable creatures:

Personally I prefer the Clannfear because they are fast. The Daedroth are also a good choice.
As for 'fixing' your Xivilai, I don't think that is doable without editing in the cs.

They aren't, they're just my personal preference. The Clannfear is quick, does decent damage (36pts) as well as reflecting the damage it takes (20%), and has an ok amount of health (180hp).sup3rspiffy wrote:meh, okay then, so why are they considered the best daedra?
The Daedroth does decent damage (40pts), has a offensive and a defensive spell to aid itself, and has a high amount of health (280hp).
Basically I would use the Clannfear against quick and ranged enemies, and the Deadroth against warriors.

There is a powerful spell called Summon Dremora Lord. Try that one. You can get it at the Bravil Mages Guild.

A Dremora Lord is part of this class. I don't know if it's stronger than a Xivilai though.

Re: Conjuration is whack
Strong is relative:
Xivilani is a Strong Spellcaster
Dremora Lord is Strong Melee & Moderate Spellcaster
Daerdoths are Strong Melee with High Health
Clanfears are weaker, but quicker
Really depends on what you want them to do.

Then maybe use a spellcaster (Xivilani) if you are a warrior yourself.Aces Andre wrote:Basically I would use the Clannfear against quick and ranged enemies, and the Deadroth against warriors.

Re: Conjuration is whack
Sadly, he has very little health. I rarely see his spells, he prefers his silly dremora mace. I've disarmed him, only to have him standing there, frozen in panic. As long as he only goes in melee you're almost better off with the clannfear.evenratman wrote:There is a powerful spell called Summon Dremora Lord. Try that one. But yeah, I'm no summons expert, I generally only conjure bow & arrows (yay mods). Sadly, NPCs are starting to say: It smells of death here! Been conjuring dead things up lately? no, just bows ;_;

Re: Conjuration is whack
Well, I suppose people consider the Xivilai to be the most deadly if he's armed with a whacking great warhammer. The summoned ones aren't - and neither do they have enough magicka to cast their most powerful spell. Terrible.

Personally I use Daedroth. You know that warm feeling when some bandits run to your mage and then voila, Daedroth is here and you are only spectator (and later even collector). Also it's fun tu run with Daedroth inside towns
I like it. I don't like summoned spellcasters or something which casts often. They do nothing most of their time instead of casting one spell after another.

Re: Conjuration is whack
yes, i go for daedroth as well. You have to choose a monster which gets stuck in, and clannfears tend to get killed too quickly once youre high level. I also think daedroth are very impressive creatures to look at so there's a certain amount of pride when you summon one and it lumbers off to kill for you
the amount of times my dremora or spider woman has aarsed around with spells (often hitting me :/) whilst the enemy lays into me with a sword are beyond reckoning. Xivilai should be best cos they should come with clannfears, but they don't and often the Xiv might only get two or three strikes in before the spell wears out

Re: Conjuration is whack
Xivilai were a great let down for me.
I read on here that they were fantastic, and that they summon a Clannfear themselves too so I trained a character to be a master thinking I'll get 2 for the price of 1.
But as most have said on here, all I get is an unarmed moron who spent most of his time fighting with fists, not even using any spells!
In fact, most of the creatures you gain at master level are rather useless - what's the point of training to master level if no creature you get is worth having?

Re: Conjuration is whack
A Daedroth is the best compromise between Magicka cost and power. A Lich is still the strongest though imo (unless they have a disintegrate staff or something
)
