Re: i have an annoying glitch
I had a similar glitch once. When I would do a power attack, it would execute the power attack animation but register the hit as a normal attack. It would also play the sound of a normal attack. I would power attack and the swooshing sound of my sword would correspond to the faster normal attack animation and not sync up with the slower power attack animation. It also meant that I couldn't do a proper sneak attack (I learned that the hard way
). However, all it took to fix the problem was to save, quit the game, open it up again and reload. Try that if you haven't already; it's a good fix for a few of Oblivion's many bugs.

Re: i have an annoying glitch
Oblivion is a highly complex game, and the programmers didn't always get it exactly right. As a result, the game occasionally loses track of things and glitches. Common on-the-fly fixes include save/reload, fast-travel away and back again or, worst case, exit game and re-run so that it completely rebuilds its tables/lists/etc in memory.
Occasional glitches affect ALL versions of the game, regardless of patches. Fortunately, 99.9% of them aren't fatal.
Hope this helps.
