I thought i should ressurect this thread cuz it was cool.

Im currently playing through the orange box because i have never finished the episodes, but im starting from the begining with half-life 2.
I am also playing through oblivion as i (before yesterday) have never finished the main quest, but i got that out of the way.
Lastly i have a saved file on COD 4 on veteran difficulty but im getting bored of that at the moment, but i shall come back and finish it!

I have been having another round of Knights Of The Old Republic lately. I forgot how great the game is and haven't played it in like a year, once I finish it there is still the second one to complete again aswell.

So Morrowind is taking a breather but I know I will be back on it in no time.

I'm going through the Metroid series right now. I'm on the first Prime game currently.

Fallout 3. FOOK keeps freezing it, though.

Edit: Reinstalled FO3 without FOOK. Should work much better now. I miss FOOK weapons, though :P

Except for the fact that there's one missile expansion left to collect, I've never gotten the 100% ending before (and no, I don't want to look it up on youtube), and I have no idea where said expansion is.

It's really annoying right now, but at least the final bosses aren't that hard.

Secret of Mana! I bought the game brand new way back when, played it all the way until the very last boss, but never beat it. So I'm on a serious mission now.

Primes were crap. It's all about Zero Mission/Fusion.

You know, the ones that follow the original formula?

Fail. The Prime games are more metroidvania than Fusion is.
Metroidvania -> 2D

There is no such thing as 3D Metroidvania, and Fusion is an exact example of Metroidvania.

Minus the fact that there's absolutely no sequence breaking (there is the one speed booster trick right before you get diffusion missiles, but that only gets you a secret message) while the Prime games do have some sequence breaking (for example, on the first Prime, you can get the plasma beam with just the space jump, the ice beam, the boost ball, and morph ball bombs). There's also the fact that there's basically no exploration in Fusion since you're always (with one exception, the second BOX encounter) told exactly where to go (and yes, I know Zero Mission did this too, but using the statues was actually optional, while the hint system on Prime 1 and 2 is also optional).

There was tons of exploration in Fusion if you didn't just go from point A to B with the extras and what not. And every Metroidvania just about has that.

It was mainly that in Symphony of the Night, the best Metroidvania game ever. It didn't -tell- you where to go, you would mainly get a new ability and you'd know where to use it. There were some options of where to go before what, but it was mainly point A to B, when you find it. Because the game didn't tell you where B was, it became ridiculously difficult to find anything to get a decent ending without a guide or dumb luck.

I bought Starcraft 2 yesterday

Haven't had a chance to play yet, though. I'll actually only be able to play over weekends seeing that I'm working full time, studying full time and spending every other available moment around here. I'm taking my PC over to boyfriend's for the purpose of spending weekends in a haze of gaming.

Still, I bought Starcraft 2 yesterday, so that's what I'll be playing.

I will be playing Halo Reach after it comes out... and after I have my year 11 finals... Which is at the end of next week. Why Bungie, why did it have to be September 14th, WHY? :x

Wait. Hammerdin is when your character is based on the use of the Blessed Hammer ability. Zealadin is when your character is based on the 'Zeal' ability.
