my son started his own game and the problem is this:
when he looks at a plant like corkbulb root all it shows is a bunch of question marks instead of what it can be used for like fortify luck. what is it that he needs to read or do.

mmm...very easy one so i'd like to tell ;)
you should improve your alchemy skill. go to train it or mix potions and eat stuff yourself.

Heh, you -can- steal it with the guard watching. Just before they get to you, drop it to the floor and pay the new fine :)

Yep, question marks mean your alchemy skill is too low, they are effects that -are- there but you don't know them yet.

Why did I not think of that.

Excuse me whilst I smash my stupid face in.

You'd have to be pretty quick, though, because the guards would be quick. Plus picking the lock... actually, a scroll would probably be better.

The Wiki wrote:He can be found by following these instructions. Levitate or water walking are strongly recommended (levitate is better) though strictly speaking you could swim it. Mark and recall and some sort of intervention spell are recommended.

1. Go to Vivec. From the silt strider go due East to Ald Sotha.
2. Keep going due east and a touch south until you see the towers of Mzahnch (see map) this has a few tall towers and a kind of crossbow on legs (you'll know it when you see it).
3. The island the mudcrab is on is east and a bit south of Mzahnch. On the map it is underneath the last 'h' of Mzahnch.

Don't kill the mudcrab merchant as he pays full price for items and gets all his money back after 24 hours (Morrowind time). If he runs out of money and you stil have stuff to sell either sleep for 24 hours or cast mark and then divine intervention to take you Ebonheart then return in 24 hours.
Creeper, in Ghorak Manor in Caldera, is a lot more convenient. He pays full price for items, and is in a town with a Mages' Guild for easy transport. He only has 5000 gold, however.

Some people were so patient that they were spellmaking command creature, levitation on touch and would get the mudcrab merchant to follow them all the way to Balmora :D

Or did you mean for the mudcrab.

Yea, I thought so, I'll try to get it ASAP. :D

rk, I have a little problem with mages guild. I'm a magician and I have the required skill for warlock, but when I ask "advancement" they say I do not contain the requirements. ???

I've tried with both platinum hits and normal version of game (just in case).

Skills. Check the stats screen, see the popup when you hover above the faction. One skill at level X, two skills at level Y, from the "faction skills" selection.

OMG, I am so ignorant. I didn't notice that conjuration wasn't a mage's guild skill, lol. But I am pretty good at it :)

i SERIOUSLY CANT FIND Falen HOUSE! I HAVE SPENT THE LAST HOUR LOOKING FOR IT AND I HAVE SEEN MANY GUAR BUT NO HOUSE!i FOUND THE DEAD GUAR AND I LOOKED NORTH EAST BUT NOTHING! hERE IS THE QUEST AND WHAT IT SAYS:

Mudcrab Pests

Neminda's first duty for you is to take care of some nasty mudcrabs that have attacked Drulene Falen's guar herd. Falen's hut and her herd is far to the west of Ald'ruhn, near the coast (Neminda should give you some good directions). Talk with Falen, and she'll tell you that the mudcrabs dragged one of her guar off to the south-west. Nearby, you should find a dead guar and two hyper-aggressive mudcrabs. Kill the crabs and return to Falen for a reward of some Hackle-lo Leaf.

Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest. Note that this is one of the few quests that don't require you to be a member of the house.
