All of these ideas are all very good. The only one that appears to be problematic is the rivalry idea. That one would basically be making a huge choice to make, and more and more characters would be needed to really see it from both sides.
Someone here talked about improvements. I agree. I don't mean changing the quests, all the guilds can keep the same questlines, but they should have far more NPC interactions with each one of them. It should seem like there is a lot more to do even after you have completed the questline. Several ideas are welcome on this.
The Explorer's Guild is a great idea. The way that this could operate is on "Explorer's Competitions." In a sense, it could be like the Arena, in which you move up in rank by killing people, but in the Explorer's Guild, you get to challenge fellow guild members to exploration trips. You could even make it a hide & seek challenge. One guild member is sent out to hide an item, for simplicity I'll call it the 'flag'. The guild member hides the flag on the top floor of a fort. You and other guild members must find this flag and whomever does, wins. In this way, the Explorer's Guild will never die out. You could also have random hints out in the wilderness made by the hiding guild members that you could pick up. The Explorer's Guild will never, ever, leave you with nothing to do. It might seem like a 'Hide & Seek Guild' to you, but you are exploring to discover the flag, and other quests can be made to help fulfill a complete map of Cyrodiil, which is contributed to not only by you, but by other members of the guild. This map is kept in the Explorer's Guild Hall. Other exploration challenges are also capable of being made.
The Vampire's Guild is great as well. The requirement, of course, is being a vampire. This could be defined as the 'evil guild'. One idea, to provide originality, is to do things with fellow vampires as a team. You and five other vampires go out to feast in the Imperial Watch Barracks. Invisibility is at all of your vampire team's disposal. Different quests are available depending on how much of a vampire you are. You decide you don't like being a vampire and get cured? The next time you go to sleep, perhaps because of waking up, you find that you have Porphyric Hemophilia. Looks like your old vampire friends want you to stay underworld. Another vampire associate decides to be cured? Time to feast on his soul, or stalk him for the rest of his life. Or of course, you could just put a knife in his back...
I'm done commenting for now. I was going to talk about the Hunter's Guild, but if you want, that could actually fit into the Explorer's Guild. You'll have to explore and bring back proof of animals you hunted. If you can find a rare animal, you'll get a nice bonus. For that, to the Shivering Isles.

How about a evil counterpart to KOTN with a set of armor you can't wear if you have more fame than infamy. Good idea Tyrannosaurus I would also really like to see more options in the dark brotherhood because at the end you only can really talk to one NPC It would be nice to visit all the sanctuaries in all the other Cities too.
I agree. If there were more quests, I would really like to be able to do as many as I want with one character. The pirate guild idea sounds sweet, and so does the explorer, vampire, and hunter guild. It would be kind of cool to have some sort of actual university (aside from the Arcane) to study other sorts of things. I know you get random training for skills from random people, but it would be cool to add that for some sort of diplomatic aspect to the game. You could study to be an ambassador or part of the Counsel or something.Tyrannosaurus wrote:All of these ideas are all very good. The only one that appears to be problematic is the rivalry idea. True! Though, without the dreamers of what could be; where would we be. I have a dream and acted upon it; does not invalidate the ones who had a dream and did not/do not know how. At least they are voicing there opinions' here!jeff wrote:Wouldn't it be better to take some of the great idea's, and make the mods for them, rather than just make wish lists of what you want???

There should be BIG Castles, and tons of Guards and servants patrolling the halls so you are forced to really sneak, as in jumping from a windowsill to a ledge, that sort of stuff. I really don't think of the current Castles as very good places to loot, and I don't feel very stealthy or vulnerable when I can walk under a Guards nose, kill him, and not alert other Guards. I should be hesitant to even step in the restricted areas, and pay dearly when I am caught, not pay a few pieces of Gold and get out clean, we're talking weeks in the dungeons. I don't know about a Guild though, the Theives Guild sort of takes care of this one, though I would like a few more Ultimate Heist like Quests, that involve long and dangerous trips into elaborate castles and fortresses, stealing things worth thousands of Gold. That's my kind of heist!Crusader wrote:i recon a kind of Robin Hood gang would be cool, i always liked robbing jewls from the Anvil castle, and then jumping off the balcony out side the bedroom, if only there was a grapaling hook to climb up!

one day I was reading things in the oblvion mod section even though I have 360. Just looking at peoples ideas. One person thought of something called the hungry thieves guild. Amusei tells you about it once you beat the thieves guild quest line. The guy there wants you to get all kinds of exotic food. I do think there should be a guild for freelance thieves or thieves who steal from castles or something. A robin hood kind of thing would be cool. You could steal from a really dictatorial and greedy count/countess. you would give the stuff to your master and then he would give it to your beggar of choice (but oddly enough they would stay beggars). You don't get any gold for the quests you do. Your master does give you items though. something like a ring called Shadowjump ring. It increases your sneak and acrobatics x number of points. Or a dagger that absorb agility+speed.

1.) http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/in ... /Main_Page Most of the info you need to know, and a walkthrough building a dungeon guide.
2.) Most Mods don't requrie you to make your own images or scripts. Most Mods just use what is already there.
3.) Most of the ES & ESIV Boards have Mod Forums, even this one (which isn't used very much). Most of the people are happy to give advice, and help out.
4.) Most (major/big) Mods are not done by one person, they are done buy teams. Some do graphics, some do scripts, some do dialogue/converstions, some do voice acting, ect...
5.) Who knows, one you try, you might actually like it.
It could lead to a Career...
Anyone can use Mods. All you need is a computer, which, by posting here (in most cases), would indicate that most do. Then you just need to buy OBIV, for the PC.

joining as a town guard would be awsome, where there are no real 'quests' but you have guard routeen: IE: patrol streets X from 10 am to 12 pm, but the thing is, you need to settle disutes and the like from town folk ("City swimmer has been swimming in my water tank!"), but then things get serious. such as you doing the night shft and finding a dead body, killed by the DB, and you have to investergate or chase the theif through Cyrodill, getting hints from NPCs who may tell you where they last spotted the assasin.
Something.
