I liked the first one. People are always saying nice things about Oblivion. That's probably because it's a good game.

I didn't read the second one.

Tenth overall Xbox game. That's quite a feat. Bethesda have a knack for stuff like that, seeing as Fallout 3 came in second.

And I'm afraid it's neither. It's the Doctor's fez, from the latest series of Doctor Who. Image

I'm sorry, but on a list where you can put Mass Effect 2 above Fallout, Mass Effect and Halo 3 is a list not worth reading. Yet another reason why IGN cannot be trusted. Still, at least they recognised Oblivion.

Truth be told, I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 and Halo 3 more than Fallout 3, but never as much as Oblivion.

Dang! Wish I'd thought of that...

I liked that fez...

On topic, Bethesda know what makes people continue to play a game long after its release and that is ?replayability? value. Games that don't have multiplayer have to be either A: A very fun game/good storyline or B: Open ended like Oblivion, you can play it with a hundred different characters and not get bored by changing little aspects of your character each time you play.
For me I had pretty much finished with the game on the PS3 but then I got it for PC, got loads of mods and discovered these Forums and my interest shot right back up again. Oblivion is the only game that I have played for four years without getting bored of, thats an achievement from Bethesda, no question about it.
Is this meant to be witty, informative or deep? I doubt I can manage all three.

i know i probably bias, but to me, Oblivion is the Best, Greatest, and Most Satisfying Video Game i have Ever played in my life.

i play other games. and grew up oblviously on other games. but all my life i awaited a game such as oblivion. never played a ES game before hand.
honestly changed my life. i had finally gotten what i imagined a video game Could and Should be.
