I agree. We don't want you to leave the site, we just think you should become normal members and let someone who has the time and dedication take the moderator thrones.

I appreciate it, guys
I'll think about it. I have my reasons to stay away, but we'll see.

I'm amazed. I don't know what to think. I think I love you, well, no, not that. We don't want you to leave. I just hope that if you stay on as a normal member I can start to see you as a human, which was the point I am here to reinforce.

Re: Dear Caz & Codex, RE: The UESP
I am not trying to say I am active enough. I could be able to do better in a week or so, or maybe not. I don't mind people saying "no, sorry... it's not enough", and I agreed to step down if I couldn't manage, no hard feelings.
I think I'm going to leave now though. Firstly, because I have not managed well enough, even though I tried, and the forums, I agree, could do with more active mods. Secondly because I don't feel welcome here any more. You may say you want us to stay, but loads of people seem to dislike me for a mistake I made and can't forgive me for it, while they can forgive someone else. And I have been hurt too much to be able to open myself up enough for people to understand me better. In all, it's just too much unnecessary stress.
I may be back. I may not. For now, I'll be enjoying real life.
Fare well to all.

Thank you for making the right decision, Caz, but I do wish that you would stay as a regular member, and I think that most of us feel similarly.
Also, Cactus has a medical condition that sometimes causes him to do or say things that he later regrets. This contributes to why we are able to forgive him.

Re: Dear Caz & Codex, RE: The UESP
I don't know that much about the true issues, being a rather new member. But I'm glad it's out in the open, because that's the only way to get it settled - I've found all these looooooooooong farewell messages from old members leaving, to be highly annoying.
In my case, Caz has been the moderator I've communicated with the most, due to personal interests. Her participation on forum level has been unknown to me, as have the general requirements for one in that position. But I trust the statistics and figures Josjie presents. Personally, though, I don't give that much for "Efficiency, in the name of and for Efficiency", so I'll drop out there, voluntarily. I'll just continue living my own life.
I believe the idea of having more moderators, some more active, others less, would be a humane model - at least in case you don't get paid anything. I don't see any cause to have a Salesman of the month -type competition there?
On the other hand, before lynching in the splendid style of "Homo homini lupus", about the ban issue,
But, I'm not going to make any statements about persons. I don't think I have the hard facts for it, after all. I think the matter should be solved inside the circle of ring of moderators, and perhaps older members who have a true picture of it all. Perhaps give a possibility to vote for those who were members January 1, this year? Or something?
I often come to think of the words of a Vietnam War veteran, fighter pilot, who said: When you hit a storm the most important is, to keep your steering straight ahead. No corrective movements, but straight ahead. In our case straight forward means, like I've repeatedly stated, the game. Lots of interesting and good threads here, but I'm sure almost everyone joined because of the game. That's the bullseye, period.
Cheers all.

Remorse should not let be passed without attention. Such is, to put it mildly, cruel.Caz wrote:But this seems to be something no one remembers or cares about: I KNOW it was wrong, I did come to see that it was disrespectful, and I apologised for it, several times. I apologise again now.

Re: Dear Caz & Codex, RE: The UESP
Andere, as usual an impressive post. We didn't expect this to have quite such an effect on the community. I personally feel that such a wonderful place as the UESP needs people who talk and listen. You can apologise again and again, and yes, I do accept the remorse. But what's done is done, and I would never like to see it happen again.

It's all sorted out now. I'll lock this thread and move it to the Archives, then delete it in a few days. Again, Codex and Caz, we would all like you to stay as normal members. If you decide to leave, I wish you good luck with everything

It's very nice of everyone, and I don't think any less of people who have stated their opinion here, and I'm sure Caz doesn't either. Just please understand that there are more to this that's hard to understand if you haven't been part of it. I'll leave it at that.
