Braniac, perhaps?

A channel used to show Braniac here, then they stopped. :/

But now we have It's Effin Science, so it's not as bad.

Hmm.. IRL Porphyria sufferers urine will turn to reddish-rust or purple color when exposed to the sunlight, if the sample is taken during a porphyric attack.

Also, a pig's orgasm lasts 30 mins.

Backfire wrote:Water is an acidic base. Or a basic acid. Your choice or terminology.
Or means to deceive someone.

A substance is either an acid or base through its relationship with perfectly neutral water. It isn't considered an acid or a base until it is mixed into water. Otherwise, it's just another substance. Hydrochloric acid is chlorine dissolved in water— without water, it's just chlorine gas. Sodium hydroxide (lye) is sodium dissolved in water— without it, it's just a lump of pure sodium.

Without water, two substances that would otherwise become an acid and a base can be mixed together without any kind of chemical reaction as long as it remains dry— it's the whole idea behind baking powder. Once you mix baking powder into wet flour, the water gets things started.

Water is commonly known as having the chemical formula of H20. What most people don't realize is that, in pure water, those molecules tend to disassociate into ionized particles: one hydrogen nucleus breaks away, leaving behind its accompanying electron. The free hydrogen atom, positively charged because it lost its electron, is a hydrion particle. The remaining combination of oxygen and hydrogen, negatively charged because of the electron it kept, is a hydroxyl particle.

In neutral water solutions, the number of hydrions will equal the number of hydroxyls. If you introduce a substance that throws off that balance (either a gas that will absorb electrons, or a metal that adds electrons), the water solution becomes either an acid (extra hydrions) or a base (extra hydroxls).

Add a base and an acid of equal strength together, and the balance between the ionic particles are restored and the two introduced substances will combine together into a salt. Which is why hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide will neutralize each other and form saltwater (water mixed with sodium chloride).

Earlier people believed that the bones of mammoths were those of giants. They even considered giving on a christian funeral. But since it was a giant and therefore pagan they decided they didn't need to.

Out of ALL the dog breeds, the Chow Chow is the only breed that has a black tounge! And the Catahula has white spots on it's eyes which make it look as though it's cateracts (spelling?) but it's not, it's just natural and their vision is perfectly fine! =D

The first dog breed is the Norwegian Elkhound which originated from .. Norway.
The Great Dane has nothing to do with the danes and before that it originated from Tibet! Back in ancient times it was traded with the Assyrians and Persiand who traded them with Rome and Greece.

Because an elephant's skull, devoid of the trunk and tusks, looks similar to a human's.

I'm pretty sure half those "facts" are false.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Kestral has never seen The Big Lebowski.
