Wyre Mash situation
Re: Wyre Mash situation
Before a wipedrive a while ago, I had the same thing happen to me. I didn't try to fix it. I put my saves on a USB before the wipedrive so I wouldn't have to restart the game, and when I imported them back into the program once Morrowind was reinstalled, the pink boxes had reverted back to normal colors.

Not trying to sound clever or anything, but many problems are solved with a reboot, or if you close your pc for a couple of hours. The fact is, this technology is new, and flaws are all around - just think about, what cars were like 15-20 years after they were introduced to the public? They were simply dangerous!
We are not in the it-age, we are heading there. It's all very experimental, still.
Here's my screenshot of Wrye Mash:

I only have one character. I went through the first nine saves with "repair all", but their color didn't change. But now, doing "repair all", I get the answer "no problems". And all my esm and esp files are blue, for the repaired saves. For unrepaired saves there are red mods and, well, you just name the color you want!
After the repairs, starting a saved game, I also get a warning that "cannot load resist fire spell 75" - I never knew I had one, did I have? It's only with two saves, not the end of the world. And what's most important is, the game works.
It's probably some persistent data file that won't refresh, or something. Like our friend writes:

Ok. Seems to be a problem within the program, like Windows 95 and 98 always told "lack of memory", no matter what the problem truly was.Scozzar wrote:I got that as well Andere, your not alone.Andere wrote:cannot load resist fire spell 75
Good luck with your new character.
I got myself new problems: I started to play Oblivion, and the first mod I tried to install jammed everything... reinstalling right now. Life's not always that easy. I couldn't even get the game started, something that never happened with Morrowind. And Oblivion doesn't have a clear "saved games", meaning I'll probably have to start it all over again. Otherwise, the game looks good, even if it's a bit SimCity like, with honey spread all around. The certain coarseness Morrowind had seems to have been a nice quality.

I believe that's not "pink" it's supposed to be "purple", which is very good:
Errors like this: "cannot load resist fire spell 75" can be safely ignored. They are mostly related to spells owned by creatures summoned by NPCs (notably the bonewalkers).
(* I tried to post a link to the Mash online docs, but this forum prevented me from making the link. How unfortunate).
(see Master List Updating in the Wrye Mash documentation*).Purple: This will only appears for saves. It indicates that not only are all of the masters synced, but also that no extra masters are loaded. If a save is blue (not purple), then the load list contains an extra esp that the save is not yet dependent on. If you play the save, then the save will become dependent on that new master.

You have to have at least 10 posts, or ask a mod to remove the block for you.john.moonsugar wrote:(* I tried to post a link to the Mash online docs, but this forum prevented me from making the link. How unfortunate).
