Release?
Ok, the strangest thing just happened to me. I was in the Arcane University creating a spell at the alter. The spell was disintegrate weapon on target and I named it "release".
When I finished and walked out of the building there was this booming voice (kinda like the deadric prince voice) saying, "RELEASE" and the subtiles were just like that, in all caps.
What is this?? this suppose to happen and I have just never noticed?

Re: Release?
That voice is related to the effects of the Staff of Sheogorath. Though why it should occur because of your spell I do not know. Have you completed the Shivering Isles questline?

Re: Release?
Well, that would be The Staff of Sheogorath's scripted effect for you.

Re: Release?
Had you used the staff within a short while (say 10-15 seconds) before entering that building (or while in it for that matter)? Other than that it could just be a weird glitch.

Re: Release?
The Staff, when used, is supposed to cause the word "HOLD" to be called out and freezes all affected NPCs/Creatures. Upon the duration of the effect being over the word "RELEASE" is called out and all the affected begin moving again.

Re: Release?
Yes, although what good it does is something you'll have to take up with The Madgod himself.
Oh wait, YOU are the Madgod now...
This complicates things. Ask Haskill maybe?

Ever started the Shrine of Sheogorath quest AFTER you became the madgod? It's kinda funny.

Haskill doesn't know jack. He wouldn't even help me with that Everscamp deal.RobotNixon wrote:This complicates things. Ask Haskill maybe?
Pity, though, could've been a funny SI easter egg.

The scamps, oddly, do not follow you to the isles.
