Re: MW2 or BC2?
Personally, I thought both games had great single player campaigns. I really liked the multiple perspectives shown in MW2, and in BC2 I enjoyed listening to Haggard insult the features of MW2 (Heartbeat sensors, snowmobile races...). But one thing I look out for in video games particularly nowadays is music, and I think BC2 had a much better score than MW2.

Yeah and still the PC version got a 9.5 on IGN.com while the Xbox 360 version got a 9.4.videogmer314 wrote:Before MW2's release, someone asked IW if the PC version was a direct port of the console version. The person at IW said "No. It has mouse control, text chatting, and adjustable graphics levels."
Even more proof that you should never trust IGN and never visit their website either. Anyone who gives Modern Warfare 2 more than a 8 has no knowledge of gaming.

Re: MW2 or BC2?
It has a reader score of 4.1 btw (1841 ratings!).
I quote from the review:
Their argument:
Because the PC version has the same multiplayer as the Xbox 360 version, we don't have to play it. Since we enjoyed the Xbox 360 version, we can assume that the PC version works even better online so we give it a 9.5.
If they had actually played it, they would've immediately noticed the lag, host migration problems, the fact that you can't pick a map you like, the campers, cheaters, hackers.... oh and the 15-60 minutes it can take before you manage to join a server.
I quote from the review:

That's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. Killstreaks make the game more balanced? Wut?IGNfail wrote:In fact, the killstreaks themselves are evidence that the game's balance is truly there
No but they got throwing knives and noob tubes. And camping is far less of an issue? Tell that to those millions of online players who are camping. Look up an "omg awesome killstreak in MW2" video on YouTube and I can guarantee you that he's camping. Standing in one building and peeking out of the window is also camping.IGNfail wrote:Many of the more annoying tactics in the original Modern Warfare have been removed, so you'll no longer have players throwing three frag grenades every life, martyrdom has been removed from the main set of perks, and with plenty of airborne attacks and a wide variety of equipment and weapons camping is far less of an issue.
IGNfail wrote: Infinity Ward has worked to make sure the experience on PC is identical to that of 360 and PS3
IGNfail wrote:and those that want a game that's easy to jump into online and connect with other players will find it with the PC version of Modern Warfare 2
Sigh. *cries*IGNfail wrote:Should Infinity Ward have included more expandability across PC – be it in more players online, dedicated servers, or through other avenues – the PC version would have been reviewed as such, and the added features would have (we can only assume) helped the version go above and beyond its console counterparts. Seeing as it's the same core experience, however, we are reviewing it as such, and the game should be looked at as the same value and overall package as any other console.

Re: MW2 or BC2?
I can see, Josjie that your not much of a fan of MW2. Well neither am I.
First off: It's a pain being a low rank. All those campers with thermal, and the noob toob laying prone in a grassy corner can really start to get annoying.
Second: Since Infinty Ward has shut down, Activision has taken up managing the servers. And lets just say there not doing such a good job at it. And anyone here from Aus knows the F****ng huge amount of lag you get when you get put on an American server (which is always).
Third: You know what, I can't be bothered complaining about a game I never play. [goes and plays halo 3]

Re: MW2 or BC2?
I own BC2, I play it, I enjoy its tactical gameplay and teamwork and the fact that I can play long
games with my friends where we invent crazy strategies to take down the enemy.
I played MW2 at my cousins, 10 mins of running around with a sniper taking wild shots from 3 feet away!
No tactic, just running, and then it bombed out due to host errors...
BC2, no question about it.

Is this meant to be witty, informative or deep? I doubt I can manage all three.

Re: MW2 or BC2?
the problem i have with mw2 is it takes absulutly no skill to do good, and the damn kill streaks and unflyable choppers on tiny maps [&@%!] me off.
i love the huge maops, destructable enviroments, and teamplay of BC2 and BC1. the only problem i have with bc2, although i havnt played it in about a month, is the lag. ussualy i have so much lag the game is unplayable. After a few matches the lag ends and im good. sorry about gramemr/spelling im too lazy right now to fix it

If BF:BC2 is as good as you make it sound, I might give it a try too.

The multiplayer isn't that good, but not that bad either. It's okay.Spiney wrote:You don't want to get Josjie started about that.Tiber Septim25 wrote:This about sums it up.

I'm a big hypocrite. I hate runners, yet I love playing it (sometimes). I hate quick-scopers, but I wish I could learn how to quick-scope.
I hate noob-tubers. I hate campers. But I gotta live with it, cause it's a strategy, and it works pretty good.
Cheap? Yes. Annoying? Yes. Ruins your game? Yes. You want to do the same if you could? Yes.
Personally, I hate them, but I try and tell myself that it's just a strategy. ^

What I did to learn how to "Rush" in MW1 and MW2 is I went into a private/local match and played each of the maps individually. I turned on Marathon so I could sprint forever, and I found the fastest ways to get to/from opposite parts of each map. By doing this, then employing cover techniques while in-match, you can absolutely dominate the opposition in Search & Destroy and Team Deathmatch.
However, if you desire to learn how to quick scope, then you need to practice it. You're not gonna learn it overnight while sleeping. How about this...
