Re: The Tea vs Coffee thread
Coffee: Smells absolutely positively mother shucker awesome! Especially with a bit of rum in it. Taste like *bleep* though. Way too bitter for me.
Tea: Depends on the tea leaf. I like black tea steeped till it's an amber colored, lightly sugared and cooled with a third cup of ice. It gets even better when the ice melts a bit. Funny, I didn't realize how specific I was about tea till I wrote this.

Well yeah but I thought it only fair to compare hot tea to hot coffee. But I suppose when you compare cold tea to cold coffee I'm still going with tea.Venger the Templar wrote:Tea isn't a hot drink only you realize.

I need a smiley that says something like 'duh.' If you add too much stuff into coffee, it stops being coffee and becomes a black drink that is really sweet.Dark Lord wrote:You have to add sugar.Venger the Templar wrote:Coffee: Smells absolutely positively mother shucker awesome! Re: The Tea vs Coffee thread
I had cold black and burnt coffee. It didn't help my love for it any, believe me. But like Gum, I haven't had coffee either. A cappuccino yes, but that's not coffee.

Re: The Tea vs Coffee thread
Question. If this is a tea verses coffee thread, why is there a third option in the poll? Shouldn't there be only two options?

Coffee is delicious, both hot and iced.
And when things start to happen,
don't worry. Don't stew.
Just go right along.
You'll start happening too.

Or hot and then poured over ice cream. One of my favourite things ever, as it combines coffee, sugar and dairy products in one tasty drink. I see that coffee is winning a bit this time, I believe it lost in the previous tea/coffee thread.Jpot wrote:Coffee is delicious, both hot and iced.

That is very delicious- I wish I had ice cream here but I don't. And the regular coffee is out... sad times... I'll have to settle for flavored coffee.Leilah wrote:Or hot and then poured over ice cream. One of my favourite things ever, as it combines coffee, sugar and dairy products in one tasty drink. Like hot tea more iced tea but it is no match for coffee.
I like my coffee with minimal amounts of creamer and sugar. At home, I use Folgers (it is starting to taste like water and doesn't taste good anymore.) When I buy a cup of coffee, I absolutely prefer Dunkin' Donuts coffee- not too weak, not too strong. I love it.

Re: The Tea vs Coffee thread
Breakfast tea= a good midday refresher, and a nice taste.
Espresso= I sometimes have one in the morning if I'm really tired. Otherwhise, I don't bother.
Latte/Americano= Nice stuff. Livens up milk, which is otherwhise quite dull.
Cappucino= A fine substitute for tea, I normally have one after a bad school day.
Mocca= Hot chocolate+coffee. WTF??? Why not just have hot chocolate or coffee? Jeez.
Earl Grey/Herbal teas= Smell absolutely delicious, but they don't taste very nice. They'll make a fine substitute to solvents, should I ever get addicted.

That is called an affogato and it is bloody awesome. I get triple ones, its a $20 cup of coffee but its worth it... well, when I get them free from work its worth it.Leilah wrote:

Re: The Tea vs Coffee thread
As a connoisseur of the hot beverage world I have to go with the one and only drink, tea.
As much as I like coffee nothing beats a mean brew... except maybe a pint of larger but thats a different story. Also the variation of tea is immense, theres even ones called stuff like 'russian caravan'.
