Transfering Downloaded Content

Post by s0shlychlngd »

Hello everyone. Just wanted to ask a question or two...

I brought my Xbox hard drive with me to a friend's place, because I was very naive when it came to Xbox content licenses and what not. I have purchased and use a couple of the expansion packs in my game.

So the usual, "Loading downloaded content" or whatever never came up when I put my hard drive in his Xbox, that was the first thing that tipped me off that something was different. Then it gave me a notice that my save game might not work. I came on here and read,
You may find that if you are using a different console than the one you originally downloaded the plug-ins on, that you will be unable to use them when playing while offline, this is because the licenses for the plug-ins are associated with your old console and need to be migrated to your new one. To rectify this and be able to use the content offline visit http://www.xbox.com and follow the "license transfer" process in the support section.
So I went over and read on Xbox's website that you can only transfer your licenses once a year. Which sucks.

Just wondering if anyone has loaded a save game after putting their hard drive in someone's Xbox, and if they had any downloadable content on their hard drive, and if it worked?

In my last save, I'm actually STANDING in frostcrag spire, LOL. I kind of want to load it just to see what happens but... I don't want to risk it. Any thoughts?

There is a test cell and duplicating glitch that can be exploited with frostcrag deleting while in there and stuff, but those only work under special circumstances. Personally I wouldn't go through with it.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.
