quick keys

Hello, Im new >> to be exact, n00b+1 and suck @ this game. I spent half the day looking on many related sides, just to find out how you make macros or "quick keys" here, but coudnt find anything. I guess its so easy & obvious, noone asks for it - but me.
Also, I got the impression, by reading many forums, that you are bound to steal and kill ppl in town.. it may sound weird, but isnt there another way to make money? Please, any suggestions will be apprecciated greatly. I used to play ffxi and am just sick&tired to lfg all day long. I need a new game..

ok I found out how to assign my spells to 1-9 lol but is that all? Im afraid I'd need more..
however, I cant handle those damn 2 rats Im ordered to kill. Im lv 1 and have no clue how to friggin get stronger. I entered the room with the 2 rats for the 20th time now ><

first of all to improve your character at a low level you could recreate with coinciding races, skills, and signs.

second of all u can just wander the wilderness and kill stuff and clear out caves and daedric ruins and dwemer ruins and mines.

third, i don't know of any shortcuts, i never played with them because i find it just as easy to stop time (by bringing up your inventory) and changing things that way.

You can do some very easy quests in scyda neen in the beginning without much trouble to get some money, with that money you can buy some armor and equipment ( buy in the shop in scyda neen, when you do a quest of his friend, you'll get better prices) , which will be enough to kill those rats normally. And take those supplies in the crate in the fighters guild, you can take those for free, because your a member, and you are, because that quest is the first of the fighters guild.

in the begining of the game you should have stolen everything in the first buinding and sold it at the local trader. then get some good armor. i recomend going into the wilderness and fighting rats and squribs. also, because you are such a NOOB i sugest getting the sword of white woe. i'll leave it to you to find that!
