Re: How to Reverce Pick pocket?
you can pickpocket zero weight items onto people like black robes and black hoods i reccomend you duplicate them first since there is a low supply of black hoods
The Udyrfrykte was a monster great, untill that beat did meet its fate! At the hands of out cheiftain the monster did fall, now its heart rests in this very hall!

Yeah, reverse pickpocketing is a real nuisance when you want to upgrade your followers armour but dont want them all looking like dremora.
But I suppose its more realistic than Fallout 3 where you can reverse pickpocket a guy some power armour or a fatman

That's gotta be one of the more annoying aspects of Oblivion...

Yeah, I want the Jemane brothers wearing Leather armour to suit my character but all I can give them is bound armour. Whenever I tell my friends I just get "Use the console man" or some other PC related help that doesnt work for me.Kage wrote:That's gotta be one of the more annoying aspects of Oblivion...

And the armour still degrades as if it was on you, and no NPC will ever repair his armour...pretty big bug they might wanna look into with any future projects.

Re: How to Reverce Pick pocket?
Bear in mind Bethesda only actually intended for the DB murderers and Battlehorn Men at Arms to be the only armoured followers. The only actual other people who were supposed to follow you were Mage Apprentices, who often summon Bound Daggers, so they don't break weapons often.
Also, you were never supposed to even get your hands on permanent bound armour, let alone give it to NPCs like the Jemane brothers who you weren't supposed to have as permanent followers anyway. Looking through the wiki, the only weightless armour I found that you can get without exploiting a glitch is the lowest level heavy armour version of the Helm of the Crusader, which is bugged anyway. My guess would be the only reason Bethesda even included reverse pickpocketing was to let you pickpocket poison apples, and they didn't think about weightless clothing like black hoods etc.

There's also the Knights of the Nine. And all of those followers have the same problem I spoke of; if they go long enough without dying and being replaced by another they'll eventually be running around naked because of that bug.

Damn, forgot about the knights!Kage wrote:There's also the Knights of the Nine. And all of those followers have the same problem I spoke of; if they go long enough without dying and being replaced by another they'll eventually be running around naked because of that bug.
As I never really use followers for anything more than home decoration, I've never actually had their armour break. I guess they weren't meant to survive for long enough.

Re: How to Reverce Pick pocket?
Most players don't use followers for much, I think. I only use them for when I feel like making things more realistic (i.e. charging into an Oblivion gate...It just doesn't seem as real going in on your own and having the same amount of success as a squad of well-armed soldiers and mages...), but it still annoys me how they always manage to either get themselves killed or strip to their loincloths if they survive too long.
What part of 'Don't kill yourselves until I say so and for God's sake keep your clothes on' do they not understand?

Re: How to Reverce Pick pocket?
If you reverse pick-pocket a hood with things like Detect Life, will your follower actually be better at spotting enemies? IE will they benefit from this?
