A Question

Post by donegaljambo »

Hi All Im D.J,

Am new on this site and hope you can help me out.

Got Oblivion for ps3, now am usualy a fps kinda guy but loved the look of this.started it on monday and love it,got up to level 5. but my question is I completed the quest amulet of the kings and now seems that all oblivion gates are closed.

I can still do other quests but am not sure if what I have done has wrecked my enjoyment of the rest of the game.

hope that makes some sense to someone ,
D.J

P.S finishing amulet was more a stroke of luck than any skill on my part.

Hi and welcome :)

Do you mean you have completed the whole main quest, or just the quest when you have to deliver the amulet to Jauffre?
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

There are LOTS of other stuff to do. The main quest is just a piece of it. All over the country you will find settlements where you can do missions/quests. There are lots of caves, forts ruins, mines +++ to discover. And have you joined the different guilds? Lots of playtime there. It's no problem to play 150-200 hours with one character.

I always still regret doing the main quest. i miss oblivion gates. but there is one way to get into oblivion... doing the Boethia dadera shrine quest. you need to go to oblivion and kill other compeditors.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Boethia

Or Peryite's daedra shrine quest where to will be sent to oblivion to bring back the worshipers souls.

Edit: Welcome =P

well if you are gonna do guilds and stuff, i recommend thieves guild
if you beat them, you get a mask that gives you an evil alter ego. you can use that to go on killing sprees, then take it off, and nobody will know it was you.

mages guild is only good when you become an aprentice, then in my opinion it loses its usefulness (at aprentice you can enchant ur own gear and make your own spells)

if you beat fighters guild you get like a monthly salary (or so ive herd, havent finished that guild)

if you get far in the dark brohood, you get a free indestructable horse, and if you beat it, you get an assassin henchie.

if you beat the arena fights, you become a celebrity basically, and you get your own annoying fanboy.

then theres the other countless side quests.

Hi and welcome :D

I highly recomend "The Collector" Mini Quest Series. Just go to Vilverin (The Aelid Ruin opposite the sewer grate you first emerged from at the start of the game) and go to the last level to take the Aelid statue located on a pedestal. Next sell it in any store and wait a few hours. This will trigger the start of the quest. It will keep you busy for quite a while. (Little Tip) When looking for the next statue South of the Imperial city is a good place to start.

have fun

Hello. I´m new in this forum.

I suggest you finishing the Mages Guild. The reward is great. There is a funny staff, it reanimate people who are dead (only for a time). Its fun to "reanimate" the corpses of the sleeping Mythic Dawn agents. Enjoy!!! :D :D :D

you can get up to Arch Mage which is the head honcho of the mages guild i also think you can get a mage to follow you haven't tried it and you really don't need to know ne magic to do the whole quest line you will need some but there are scrolls u can buy so don't fret
