He's the only one that comes to mind right now.
He wears a black robe.
He tells you where Jauffre is and he will give you his horse.
He wears a golden ring.
He will die before the end of the main quest.
He carries no weapons although living amongst those that do (Jauffre and Piner).
He never fought back against his assailant.
He was a pious man and obviously no fighter.
He was slain by the enemies of his god.
He is a character I feel can often be overlooked, so I chose him for my riddle.
Once again, well done. Your go.

Oh, I never paid any attention to his robes or ring.
I think I'll pass this one to someone better at making up riddles, again.

I've long been missed.
i've been sent into a near Eternal limbo.
replaced and Forgotten.
once Integral, then desposed.
only Succeeded in the Spirits;
though not without a Limit.
perhaps Forever I am to be cursed to this

Re: Oblivion Trivia!!!
Sounds like it could be any number of things...Xedilian maybe, or Arkved...and neither of those match all the lines, either. Is it from vanilla Oblivion, or is it from some of the DLC?

Nothing new in the DLC, and it wasn't as prominent in the Vanilla game as it usually is. So, no and no.Kage wrote:Sounds like it could be any number of things...Xedilian maybe, or Arkved...and neither of those match all the lines, either. Is it from vanilla Oblivion, or is it from some of the DLC?

Indeed, it doesn't *seem* nearly as bad as your usual punishers. We'll see, though. Sometimes the simple ones are the hardest. I know what my knee-jerk reaction is, but I doubt that could possibly be right, even for Kestral-lite.Kestral wrote:I've long been missed.

Clarification request: "desposed" -- is that disposed, deposed or despised? Or perhaps a combo pack?
edit:
You're being uncharacteristically revealing...Nothing new in the DLC, and it wasn't as prominent in the Vanilla game as it usually is. So, no and no.

My first quess would be Pelinal Whitestrake.
The riddle fits him quite well, but what really struck me was Kestral's response to the DLC/Vanilla question:
The riddle fits him quite well, but what really struck me was Kestral's response to the DLC/Vanilla question:
This suggests (to me anyway) that the soultion was mentioned in vanilla, but fairly obscure. It did, however, become more prominent with a DLC installment. Following this line of thinking, there was at least one book (near the very bottom) that mentioned him in vanilla, but he wasn't exactly prominent then. With KotN you simply learn more about him.Kestral wrote: Nothing new in the DLC, and it wasn't as prominent in the Vanilla game as it usually is. So, no and no.

Riddle re-post, from Kestral:
You can't tell me that no one has been paying attention to the caps, now can you?
The capital letters, in order, are IEFISSLFOT. Unscrambling, perhaps?
Desposed could be a mix of "despised" and "disposed" as well, just throwing that out there.
