Right, I promised/was persuaded to do this properly, owing to my vast experience (or something) of hosting forum awards ceremonies. So it's time to don the golden jacket and introduce everyone's favourite awards ceremony hosts, genial Geordies Ant And Dec.
"Why aye, Toon Army! There's a leeerd a categories te choose from and a's canny organised te boot, pet!"
"'Ey Ant, yer golden jacket's in a real canny state, like, ye've got all feeerrm commin up oota the seams"
"Feerrm?"
"Aye, feerrm! Look!"
"Oh aye, it's knackered, innit? I should get meself a new one, ye naa?"
"Ah naa!"
Anyway, enough of my virtual Geordie accent.

Anyway. Here are the rules - failure to adhere to them will result in your votes not being counted, but I will do the decent thing and tell you if you've broken any of them.
1) All votes must be submitted via PM to me with a subject like 'Awards votes' or something along those lines. Any votes posted in this thread won't be counted.
2) You must vote in every category.
3) You can't vote for yourself, not even in the stupid categories.
And yes, you are allowed to vote for me. Ignore what that Tom fellow said in the other thread.
In the event of a tie to win I shall give myself the casting vote to decide the winner from the tieing members, unless it's between me and someone else in which case I'll cross that bridge when I come to it and get someone respectable and unbiased like Josjie to do it for me. If this system displeases you please complain in writing using the official appeals procedure, but send it to someone else because I don't really care.
I will end voting two weeks tomorrow, the 30th of April, which will give me Bank Holiday weekend to sort through all the votes and I will announce the results in the first few days of May. Happy voting!

Too bad there isn't a Pop Out of Nowhere, Make a Single Post, and Not Come Back for Another Month category. I would definitely get that one.

Re: The Better 2010 UESP Awards
Evidently I didn't make it clear in the member of the month thread:
Awards for "best" members are pushing it with the competitive aspect and the disappointment for members who didn't win and thought they would, and I personally disagree with them, although they are not exactly breaking the rules. Awards for "most annoying" members are, frankly, disgusting. I refuse to allow anything that, even as a joke, calls someone the "most annoying" or "least helpful" member to exist on these forums. We do not need that sort of negativity in this community, and if anyone ever disagrees with that, and thinks it would be a good idea to do anything like this again, I will ensure they get an instant ban for flaming, and trolling. Flaming everyone on the board by suggesting everyone here is annoying to some extent (if you think it, for goodness's sake don't say it!) and trolling by then inviting people to vote on who they think is the worst.
