Well I have to do one section for twelve months rather than six because I didn't do bronze. At least I don't have to do two expeditions.
Oh wait, I do. The next one's in June.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Dear Brighton and Hove Travel,
Much as I am loathe to admit it I actually rely upon the number 1 and 1A bus routes quite heavily as every important engagement I ever have to go to in Brighton seems to lie somewhere along its route. I also used to be impressed with the frequency of the service.
I was initially writing to congratulate you on an excellent April Fools joke after you changed the schedule on April 1st, but no, it seems that you actually have reduced the frequency of buses on this route from once every 7 minutes to pretty much once every half an hour. As a result I have been late for every single thing I have done since then.
If you are going to try and get everyone out of their cars and gloat on the back of buses about the traffic jams caused by the fact that you've turned every road into a bus lane, could you kindly put some buses on said bus lanes?
You don't know how to run a bus company, and furthermore you are all a bunch of grotesquely ugly freaks.

My 360 started working again
It got the three red light thingymaboby, and i had left it on my shelf as im a lazy. Well around 5 months or so down the line i had got around too looking into getting it fixed, if nothing just too sell it off. I visited the 360 website and noticed that the warrenty was out except if it had the three red lights, so i thought i would plug it in too check. And it worked
.
So my advice about anyone with the three lights issue- just leave it on the shelf

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I had a red ringed 360 from January to August of last year. I just kept towel tricking it every few days, then bought an Arcade with the Jasper motherboard (better solders and more heat resistant) and a smaller wattage power brick. Now, it's guaranteed to never red ring!
And on the eighth day, God created Thermodynamics, and it was good.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Towel tricking?i read somewhere that doing that just messes with it even more.RRoD is caused by over heating.Putting wet towels on it just cools it faster and messes with it,possibly permanently damaging it as well.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Well, you can send it in and wait a few months, or try and see if the towel trick works. If not, you'll just send it in anyways, and MicroSoft sends a refurbed one to you. They've got warehouses of RRoD 360's. It's intense.
Also, the way it works is it supposedly melts the solders and they become reattached in the necessary places. But eh, I've never studied it. I just know that, for about eight months, it kept my 360 alive.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I looked it up for a while after my second RRoD,It is caused by the solders like you said.and the towel trick works for a while but all that while there's a chance that the 360 will get fried and become irreparable. The 360 is a high tech piece of equipment.Using wet towels is kind of crude.don't hold me to this but If you send it in after the towels fry it,i don't think Microsoft will accept responsibility

Wet towels? You looked up the wrong trick, my friend. Also, like I said, even if it stops working, you'll just get a refurbished 360 from MS, so it doesn't hurt to try.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Alright, maybe i'm not too clear..but still,my point stands, the 360 is not too be messed with and Microsoft will jump at the opportunity to not do anything by saying that you caused the problem

Hm, what happened, what happened.
Well, I finished re-reading Elfen Lied today. I actually forgot a lot about the story. A lot more sadder than I thought and a lot more [&@%!] up than I thought as well. (The guy with the crossbow was just the guy to hate.)
I've really tried to finish it today, but now I feel empty after finishing it again. Oh well.

I have a choice of restaurant following the vouchers that I just received. Pizza Express, Frankie & Benny's or some Mexican thing I've never heard of?

That's the one. Never been in there, so I don't know what it's like. Might just play safe and go with pizza.

Indeed. And as such, his actions are not to be questioned and/or discussed in public. He did the right thing.randomfrog wrote:Wow, you guys are being kinda harsh toward Dogmantra. He was just doing his job. He's kinda a mod, you know.
Furthermore, such things as the towel trick for the xbox should not be discussed on these forums as it can be dangerous and we don't want any kids (or adults, for that matter, but one hopes they have more sense) setting their homes on fire. On top of that you may get trouble with the warranty. We do not want to be held responsible for anything of the sort, so kindly refrain from discussing it here.
That said... I was planning to pay my parents a short visit today. But because of the ash cloud hanging over europe and nearly all airports being closed, the trains were over full (160%, I heard) and I decided I couldn't be bothered to squeeze myself in. God I love trains...
