Quick Question?

After having just beat arena I am gonna move on to daggerfall I plan on following boilerplates build or if their is a better build for those who have never beaten daggerfall.But my question is what spells should I purchase because in my first run I got some trouble from some vampire and vampire ancients and lich in a couple of main story quests.

I decided to follow boilerplates build but I am having a harder time then I remember.When I went to join the mages guild it said I could because I did specialize in the the schools of magic but I followed his build exactly and never had that problem before.Also when I have two weapons equipped and when I press the switch weapon key it no longer switches weapons.Can someone help with my problem can some one recommend an even easier build or some spells to purchase and help me please so I can get back to enjoying the game.Any help would be appreciated

Alteration-Slowfall,water breathing,water walking
Destruction-Shock
Illusion-Chameleon and light
Mysticism-Recall
Restoration-Balyna's balm,Heal
Thaumaturgy- Levitate,water walking
am I missing any and are their any I should definitely get.
