The SI expansion for Xbox 360:
On the quest "Through the Fringe of Madness", I arrived at the small town and talked with Shelden and Felas Sarandas, they mentioned a group of adventurers about to get their butts handed to them up on the hill, let's go watch. When I followed them up the hill, I saw the adventurers and the gatekeeper, but everyone was just standing around. I could easily provoke the gatekeeper to attack me, but the adventurers didn't do anything. Any person I talked with mentioned the group about to get slaughtered. But no carnage.
I decided to just kill the gatekeeper on my own, got the keys, and talked with the nicely dressed fellow who tells me about Mania and Dimentia and allows me to continue into the realm. However all the people in town still talk about the adventurers, and how they are about to get killed, and the adventurers are still just hanging out up near the gates.
Has anyone run into this before? Is my game screwed? Should I just kill the adventurers myself? What happens if I delete the SI expansion - will I have to begin it again from the start?
Thanks!

As dumb as Ghosttown80 is, I just killed the adventurers myself and the quests continued correctly, as if the Gatekeeper had killed them. I did go back to an earlier save just before I killed the gatekeeper to do this. I didn't check what would happen if I was to kill the gatekeeper, then kill the adventurers.
When I first got the SI expansion I poked my head into Shivering Isles just to look around (I might have wandered off the path a bit, I don't remember), then went back to the main story line and wrapped up a bunch of stuff.
